Four Bullets; Four-Way All In; Best Hand Preflop Ends Up Fourth

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
jesper Hansen
jesper Hansen

Some crazy action took place over on table 16 and ended in a four-way all in. It started rather innocent with a raise to 3,000 by Ricardo Graells and a call by Jesper Hansen and Silviu Baltateanu, who had just re-entred on his fourth bullet for Day 1c. Albert Grané in the big blind pushed for 30,800 and Graells moved all in over the top.

Hansen gave it some thought and called all in, as did Baltateanu.

Silviu Baltateanu: {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Albert Grané: {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Jesper Hansen: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Ricardo Graells: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

Hansen was ahead with his pocket pair, but the board of {q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{10-Spades} saw his hand go from best to fourth and the Dane hit the rail. Baltateanu initially celebrated as he hit a straight but was then reminded that Grané had turned the nut flush and Graells won the side pot with the nut straight.

Salamone Pulls Further Ahead

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

A bigger pot was brewing and chip leader Andrea Salamone pushed on the {q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{9-Spades}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} river. His opponent gave it some thought and called, which prompted Salamone to roll over the {a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} for a full house.

His opponent mucked and the dealer revealed his {a-}{q-Hearts} briefly to then push the chips to Salamone. The Italian was busy to stack them neatly once more in piles of 20, and has pulled further away at the top of the leaderboard.

Cortes Pushes Into Sowa

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Jesus Cortes
Jesus Cortes

Jesus Cortes opened to 2,300 at the end of the previous level and picked up two callers. Gereon Sowa in the big blind squeezed to 12,500 and Cortes moved all in. The action folded to Sowa, who asked for a count. Cortes' all in was for 79,200 and that proved to be too much for Sowa.

On the feature table, Ladislao Dalfo Battle lost a bigger pot with queens against the {10-Spades}{7-Spades} of Tarmo Tammel and dropped below the starting stack.

Further assorted counts can be found below.

Franco Collects Chips

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante
Sonny Franco
Sonny Franco

Sonny Franco was one of four players who invested 2,200 each to see a flop of {9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and the Frenchman bet 4,400 on the button. Only the hijack check-called and the {a-Hearts} turn and {4-Hearts} river brought no further action. The hijack showed {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} for a busted flush draw and Franco claimed the pot with {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} to jump above 100 big blinds.

Pulido Busts Quelhas

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Picking up the action on the {q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{2-Hearts} turn, Francisco Pulido checked in the big blind and Andre Quelhas in the cutoff bet 6,000 with 18,000 behind. Pulido check-raised to 43,500 and Quelhas used his remaining time bank while glancing at the tournament info screen.

Eventually he called with five seconds remaining and no further time banks behind.

Andre Quelhas: {q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Francisco Pulido: {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

The {6-Clubs} river was a blank and Quelhas will likely jump back in again soon.

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Angel Ezquerro Perez and table neighbor Emilio Munoz flipped with the former at risk for 28,200 in a classic flip.

Angel Ezquerro Perez: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Emilio Munoz: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

The board came {8-Hearts}{6-Spades}{2-Spades}{6-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and the pocket pair held up to secure the double for Ezquerro Perez.
