The tournament takes place in Bucharest, however, three Spanish players ended up on the same table. It was Ana Marquez that raised to 900 and fellow countrymen Ramon Roig Mateu and Pedro Gabriel Andrada Martin came along to the ![]()

flop. Even the dealer announced all the action and bet sizes in Spanish and one check was followed by a continuation bet of 2,800 by Marquez. Roig Mateu raised to 6,000 and Andrada Martin check-shoved for more than 28,000.
Marquez folded and Roig Mateu used one time bank chip and plenty of table talk before calling it off for his last 18,400.

The
turn and
river were blanks and Roig Mateu doubled.
"I had a straight and flush draw," Marquez admitted in English in table chat after.
Not long ago, Jacek Korytko was among the chip leaders with two times the starting stack, however, the online qualifier from Poland has since shown up in the list of casualties. A quick look at his table revealed a massive stack for Gennaro Proscia. Dan Murariu confirmed that Proscia had claimed the entire stack of Korytko in two hands, both of which were three-bet pots and saw Proscia flop a set of sixes.
First he doubled against ace-king, then he faded a diamond draw by Korytko, who squeezed big and jammed a four-way flop of ![]()

with the ![]()
only to get shown pocket sixes once more.

Several players have been eliminated including Ion Nita, Hans Fest and Marco Bandieri. Ramlal Basdeo and Kfir Ivgi ran out of chips before the break and have jumped back in, while all other early casualties can do so until the end of level eight.
As far as Bandieri was concerned, it was a rather simple and standard exit. Down to 5,500, he jammed from early position and was called by Eugen Chiva.

Narcis Gabriel Nedelcu final-tabled the €230 Opening Event and has also already spun up a profit on Day 1b of the Main Event. On his table, Michal Lubas just clashed with Marius Popescu when the turn showed ![]()

and bets of 5,400 from previous streets were already pulled in.
Popescu then bet 7,000 with about as many chips behind and Lubas jammed for 12,000. Popescu used two time banks and called with the ![]()
, while Lubas turned over ![]()
for two pair. The
river brought no upset and Lubas doubled to get back near the starting stack.
Hristian Panchev raised and Yuri Kudrinsky from one seat over in the cutoff three-bet to 1,800, which was called by Marius Gicovanu on the button and Panchev. The ![]()

flop was checked and Panchev's bet of 2,200 on the
turn won the pot uncontested, lifting the Bulgarian just shy of the starting stack.
Kudrinsky is just above that and has recovered from a rough start into Day 2.
In a four-way pot to the ![]()
![]()
flop, Marian Dinca and Valentin Dobrescu checked out of the blinds and the other two players involved in the hand checked behind. Neither the
turn nor the
river brought any action either and Dinca shrugged, then tabled ![]()
for two pair.
Dobrescu had that beat with ![]()
for a flush and claimed the pot on a table that also features Michal Lubas and Solomon Stan.
