Lawless Eliminated After Clash With Noephytou

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante
Derek Lawless
Derek Lawless

Derek Lawless opened to 600 in the cutoff and Neophytos Neophytou three-bet to 2,600 in the small blind, which Lawless called. On the {10-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop, Neophytou continued for 3,600 and picked up a call before making it 8,000 to go on the {6-Diamonds} turn. Lawless gave it some thought and moved all in, Neophytou called.

Neophytos Neophytou: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Derek Lawless: {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

The {a-Clubs} river was a blank and Neophytou doubled for 18,100, Lawless was left with just 2,500.

Lawless jammed the next hand and Elizabeth Wells called in the small blind.

Derek Lawless: {a-Clubs}{5-Spades}
Elizabeth Wells: {k-Clubs}{j-Spades}

On a board of {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{5-Clubs}, Lawless came up second-best and headed to the registration desk.

He then lost the last 7,000 to Kelly Saxby and departed to the registration desk for the third entry of the day.

Also among the early casualties is Evgenii Shibaldin.

Two Barrels Work for Neophytou

Level 1 : 100/100, 0 ante

More for Farzaliyev

Level 1 : 100/100, 0 ante

Sam Acheampong called a raise to 300 and Kanan Farzaliyev then three-bet to 1,300, which both opponents called. The {k-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop was checked to Farzaliyev and he continued for 1,300, again both opponents called.

They checked the {10-Clubs} turn and {2-Diamonds} river which saw the initial raiser turn over the {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}. Acheampong had that beat with {5-Spades}{5-Clubs}. Farzaliyev had the best of it with {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} to win the pot.
