With around 3,000 in the pot on a flop of 2♥4♥8♠, the small blind led out for 200 before Herberth Cristian raised to 2,800 in middle position. The small blind called.
Both players checked the 6♥ turn. The small blind then bet 5,700 on the 4♣ river, and Cristian called.
The small blind showed A♠K♣ for ace-high, but Cristian had 7♣7♥ to win the pot.
The first announcement of all in came just 10 minutes into the day.

Akerreta continued for 400 on the 10♥6♣4♠ flop, and Ledesma then raised to 1,600. The big blind got out of the way, while Akerreta called.
The turn was the 9♦ and Ledesma bet 4,500. Akerreta, the reigning 888poker Live Madrid champion, took a minute before surrendering the pot to the 2024 Madrid champion.

This isn’t the last chance to take a shot at the title, however. There is still a turbo Day 1d flight beginning tomorrow at 11 a.m. before all surviving players return for Day 2 at 5 p.m.
