Ozello Chips Up Without Showdown

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

John Lytle had vanished from the table just a few minutes earlier and the next interesting hand included Robert Ozello in the hijack and Gregory Bauer on the button.

Ozello leaped out of his chair to study the J88Q10 river before he bet 12,000, because the light reflections on the table made it difficult to see the suits. Bauer went into a brief tank and then folded.

"Bluff?" Bauer asked and Ozello shook his head while saying "no, I was happy."

Xiaoqiong Liu had a bet of 7,000 paid off on the J557A river when her A8 had missed the nut flush draw but rivered aces and fives. After the hand, Gregory Bauer sighed vividly and John Lytle joked "if it folds to me, I will raise."

Robert Ozello in the big blind replied "and I might call" but neither of them got involved in the action thereafter. Bauer limped in and Aaron Eis in the small blind ended up all-in and at risk thereafter when his AQ turned queens up on 877QJ.

However, Bauer had the best of it with 107 for trips sevens and his stack of 48,300 covered by under one big blind.

St. Lawrence Takes From Funaro

Level 7 : Blinds 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

George St. Lawrence raised to 3,000 and Nicholas Funaro called in the next seat.

On the A55 flop, St. Lawrence check-called for 2,200 and they checked the 7 on the turn. St. Lawrence bet the 7 river and Funaro folded to get shown the A.

"I had an ace too," Funaro told him and St. Lawrence replied "it was kind of a scary board".

On the completed board of QJ68Q, Xiaoqiong Liu checked out of the small blind and then faced a bet of 25,000 by Jordan Glazer in the big blind.

Amarender Puri put his hopes on J10 and ran into the AK of Cleveland Richards. The A4264 board left Puri drawing dead on the turn.

Last but not least, Jordan Glazer was all-in with AA against the pocket tens of John Lytle. On a board of 97532, Glazer hit an unbeatable flush.
