Dentale Double Leaves Chen on the Ropes

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Mike Dentale raised to 5,000 and then called a three-bet worth 14,000 by Huabao Chen in the small blind.

Chen continued for 12,000 on the J87 flop for Dentale to call.

The A came on the turn and Chen now opted to simply open-shove.

"Wow ... wow," Dentale said and stood up from his chair to study the situation a bit closer. Without asking for an exact count, Dentale then called.

Mike Dentale: A8 All in
Huabao Chen: K10

The huge combo draw of Chen missed on the 2 river and Dentale doubled for 73,000.

Liberto Can't Shake Stolt

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Justin Liberto opened to 4,000 from middle position and Arian Stolt called from the big blind.

On the K103 flop, Stolt check-called a bet of 6,000 from Liberto.

Liberto sized up to 21,500 on the K turn, just under the size of the pot, and Stolt called after some deliberation.

Stolt checked a final time on the 4 river and Liberto took some time before he waived the white flag and checked back. Stolt tabled 106, and Liberto mucked.

"Are you starting to feel like it's destiny?" Liberto joked with Stolt, referring to an incident at their previous table in which Mike Dentale accidentally grabbed five blue T-5,000 chips from Stolt's stack, and it took over 30 minutes for the situation to be rectified after surveillance reviewed the tape.

Esther Taylor has just joined the field with 30 minutes left to play after competing on a live streamed cash game this evening. The best moments from the stream can be seen on our Borgata Summer Poker Open Highlight Blog.

Bin Weng's stack has seen a large increase in the final frame of play as he sits as the largest stack in the room.

The dominated ace improved on the Q105 flop, yet Lee was drawing dead on the 3 turn to make the J river a formality.

A Double and More for Lerner

Level 10 : Blinds 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Steven Lerner was all-in for 30,500 with KK versus A10 and held thanks to the KQ237 runout.

He then opened to 5,000 and Scott Matte three-bet to 13,500.

"An even sixty six," Lerner said when he pushed all-in. Matte gave it some thought and folded.

Paul Volpe was no longer at the table and had since been eliminated by Michael Teich but still has the chance to re-enter.

Mann Sends Linster Into a Frenzy, But Busts Right After

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Mike Linster
Mike Linster

Michael Mann opened to 3,000 from the cutoff before Mike Linster three-bet to 11,500 from the big blind. With the action back on Mann, he four-bet jammed for 62,000, and Linster called holding the exact same stack.

Michael Mann: A8 All in
Mike Linster: QQ

Linster was ahead with the queens, but he was unable to fade the over on the A102 flop, with neither player holding a club. The board ran out 9K as Linster was sent to the rail after the stacks were counted down, cursing out about his opponent's play as he lamented his bad luck.

However, Mann's luck would not last forever, as his newfound 127,000 stack was reduced to zero in less than an orbit, with Mario Damiao the recipient after an ace-king versus aces cooler.

Joseph Liberta

James Kohl got his shorter stack into the middle and Joseph Liberta looked him up while both players traded some friendly banter.

James Kohl: KQ All in
Joseph Liberta: A10

The A4366 runout left Kohl drawing dead on the turn and he said "you got me bro".

Liberta replied "I was going to give it to you" before explaining at the table that he was friends with Kohl.

Queen Gets Grabel to Fold

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Kevin Grabel raised to 3,000 and then called a three-bet to 11,000 by Alex Queen two seats over. Both checked the 1097 flop before Queen bet the 4 turn for 14,000, which Grabel called.

Queen then also bet the K river for 35,000 and Grabel went into the tank.

"King ten?" he asked and Queen replied "is that good?"

Grabel folded and was shown the 10 only by Queen.

Ladies Hold for Stolt

Level 9 : Blinds 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Arian Stolt opened from middle position before the cutoff three-bet to 10,500. In the small blind, 2025 Runner-up Abraham Gordon jammed for 19,000. Stolt rejammed for 41,500, and the cutoff called to put both players at risk.

Arian Stolt: QQ All in
Abraham Gordon: AK All in
Cutoff: AK

Stolt was in good shape with his opponents sharing outs as the 994 kept the queens in front. Nothing changed on the 26 runout as Gordon was eliminated and Stolt scooped a huge one.
