It was indeed not a race, but it did not matter for Fishman on the A♣8♣4♠ flop as he paired his ace. Nothing changed on the K♣3♥ runout, and he secured the double.
John Wilson raised to 1,500,000 in the hijack, Matthew Iles moved all in for 7,475,000 in the small blind, and Wilson called.

At the same time on the other table, Changfeng Fan was all in for 5,000,000 from the hijack and up against William Shaw in the cutoff. Fan had A♠7♣, but he was dominated by Shaw's A♦K♥ and couldn't come from behind as he was eliminated in 11th place.

Failla flopped top pair but Yarbrough still had two live overcards. Unfortunately for him, the board ran out 10♦9♥, and he was eliminated in 13th.
John Wilson raised to 1,200,000 in middle position before John Malvasio three-bet to 3,500,000 in the big blind. Wilson folded, and Malvasio showed him ace-king. "Big fold by me. Ace-ten," Wilson said.
A few hands later, Wilson shoved for 5,500,000 on the button, and Lamel Riollano called for 3,500,000 in the big blind.

The board ran out K♣7♥2♠8♦2♥, and Wilson won the pot with queen-high to send Riollano to the rail in 14th place.
Yuriy Kudrynskyy raised to 1,000,000 under the gun and William Shaw called in the cutoff.
The flop came J♥8♥8♣ and Kudrynskyy bet 1,100,000. Shaw called, and the A♣ fell on the turn. Kudrynskyy then bet 3,600,000, and Shaw folded.
Shaw, Raymond Ferretti, and Will Failla then got matching hot chocolates with whipped cream on top delivered as Thomas Yarbrough raised to 1,100,000 under the gun. Ferretti then three-bet to 3,200,000 in the cutoff, and Yarbrough folded. Ferretti flashed A♣A♥ as he took the pot.
David Kilcoyne moved all in for 3,500,000 in the hijack, John Malvasio reshoved on the button, and the rest of the table got out of the way.

Malvasio was ahead with his nines, and Kilcoyne couldn't catch up on the Q♠10♥5♠J♥6♦ board and was sent to the rail in 15th place.
"Are you John?" Michael Mann asked Malvasio.
"Are you John?" Mann continued to John Malczan, and finally John Wilson right beside him as the three Johns share a corner of the table.
"John, John, John," Wilson said.
John Malczan opened to 1,500,000 under the gun and found one caller in Adam Calabrese from middle position.
On the A♠Q♦2♣ flop, Malczan led for 1,500,000 and Calabrese called.
Malczan sized up to 3,500,000 on the 4♦ turn and Calabrese called once again.
On the 2♥ river, Malczan slid a stack of pink T-500,000 chips into the middle to ask for the remainder of Calabrese's 5,100,000 stack. After taking some inventory, Calabrese elected to call after a minute's tank.

Malczan flopped top two pair and Calabrese could not get away from his ace after the board pair river, and his run came to an end in 16th.
