Jürgens Takes a Rough Beat Against Guk

Level 18 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Mario Jürgens
Mario Jürgens

Mario Jürgens had lost some chips after his previous double while Vadim Guk chipped up.

Guk then led a 662K turn for 55,000 and Jürgens raised. While fiddling with his red T-100,000 chips, Guk shrugged and eventually reraised, Jürgens instantly called all-in.

"Six?" Guk asked and exposed his KJ. Jürgens indeed had the 76 and needed to dodge the last two kings only.

Sure enough, Guk spiked the K on the river to send Jürgens out in brutal fashion.

Leppälahti Flushed Away By Axelsson

Level 18 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Teemu Leppälahti
Teemu Leppälahti

Madis Müür raised enough from the small blind to give Teemu Leppälahti in the big blind only two options: Call all-in or fold and stay on a severe short stack. Leppälahti opted for the former as he called for the last 100,000.

Teemu Leppälahti: K8 All in
Madis Müür: K2

The Q75QK runout gave Müür the flush with the mighty deuce and knocked out Leppälahti in 32nd place.

Kasso Back on Top

Level 18 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Laasik Kasso
Laasik Kasso

Laasik Kasso continued to apply pressure left and right, taking pots off Kalle Kulju and Taivo Sillaste. The latter check-folded the 10429 turn when Kasso jammed.

Eyjolfur Halldorsson then survived an all-in showdown for very few blinds with 88 against the J4 of Esko Brandt when he made a flush on the 74264 runout.

Turpeinen Takes From Tabaei

Level 18 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante

Seyed Tabaei raised to 30,000 first to act and Esa Turpeinen called on the button. On the 1093 flop, Tabaei check-called for 25,000 and did so again for 40,000 on the 5 turn. They checked the 5 river and Tabaei announced king-high, exposing KJ.

Turpeinen won the pot with the A10 and headed back into a break shortly after.

Laitinen Eliminated by Bjorkheim

Level 18 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Anders Bjorkheim

Jere Laitinen got it in via three-bet shove and was called by Anders Bjorkheim. The Finn was way ahead with AA versus AJ but Bjorkheim flopped the nuts on the KQ1059 runout.

"You saved me, I had king-queen suited," Taivo Sillaste in the small blind said.

In the meanwhile, Esko Brandt and Daniel Axelsson became contenders for the lead. Brandt raised big on the AJ8J turn against Vadim Guk, who bet 85,000 and folded to a raise worth 250,000. Brandt showed the KQ for a gutshot straight and flush draw.

Mikk Doubles; Kallikorm Busts

Level 18 : Blinds 10,000/15,000, 15,000 ante
Robert Kallikorm
Robert Kallikorm

Laasik Kasso kept up his relentless aggression and jammed the 652A9 river against Kaido Mikk, who mustered up a call. Kasso tabled Q8 for a bluff and Mikk doubled with the 76 for a pair of sixes.

Daniel Axelsson then raised to 300,000 in the small blind and Robert Kallikorm called all-in for around 200,000 in the big blind.

Robert Kallikorm: AK All in
Daniel Axelsson: A2

The 6226J board gave Axelsson a full house and Kallikorm a bad beat story to tell.

"Nice move," Kallikorm joked to his former neighbour before heading out of the tournament area.

The Battle for the Chip Lead

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Esa Turpeinen returned from a short break to then jam a flop of Q63 and Keimo Suominen folded, having bet 20,000.

In the meanwhile, a three-way battle for the chip lead emerged and Laasik Kasso as well as Madis Müür lead the way. Müür knocked out Karl Persson when his QQ for an overpair held against ace-eight for top pair and top kicker that couldn't get there.

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Esko Brandt

There was a preflop escalation over on table 12 and once the cards were revealed, it was obvious why Esko Brandt and Sami Natri ended up all-in.

Esko Brandt: AA All in
Samki Natri: KK

No king or other shenanigans came on the Q628J runout and Brandt doubled for 250,000.

Down to the Final Four Tables

Level 17 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Monica Klingenberg
Monica Klingenberg

Monica Klingenberg was all-in preflop against Mario Jürgens and both had near identical stack sizes.

Mario Jürgens: KQ All in
Monica Klingenberg: AK

The board ran out 10769Q and Jürgens spiked the queen on the river. When both stacks were counted, Klingenberg had 5,000 more and was left with a single chip.

While that hand unfolded, Sævar Sævarsson was all-in via coin flip with JJ against the AK of Hjörtur Davidsson. The over cards got there on the K102Q3 board to knock out the player from Iceland. Klingenberg then busted in the next hand to take 36th place.
