Volzhan Misses Straight Draw, Kovalev Benefits

Level 5 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Edwin Volzhan
Edwin Volzhan

There were around 18,000 chips in the pot on a flop of 6J8 when Anton Kovalev bet 7,500. Edwin Volzhan then shoved his stack into the middle, which got Egor Ivanov to fold. Kovalev thought for some time before he eventually made the call for almost 30,000 total.

Anton Kovalev: KJ All in
Edwin Volzhan: 109

Kovalev didn't seem to happy to make the call but would have been delightful upon seeing the hand of his opponent. Volzhan needed a queen or an seven to earn the knockout but neither the 3 turn nor 9 river could deliver what he needed, and Kovalev doubled up.

On the 6QQ flop, it checked to Giorgi Tchkonia, who put out a small bet of 2,200. Nobody else seemed interested in the pot as they all folded, which meant Tchkonia took it down.

Sultanbek Wins at Showdown Without Showing Cards

Level 4 : Blinds 300/500, 500 ante

There were already 10,000 chips in the pot on a flop of 227 when Vadim Kazykhanov bet 4,500. Two players folded before Kaisar Sultanbek called

Both checked the 4 turn to the 10 river. Sultanbek checked, and Kazykhanov bet 6,500. Sultanbek needed only a few seconds to think before he decided to call.

A traditional showdown involves at least one player showing their cards, but on this occasions nobody did as Kazykhanov tossed his cards back to the dealer face down, which meant Sultanbek was awarded the pot without the need to show his cards.
