Attach Those Wheels, Chouity

Them wheels there were loose and looking to come off. Nicolas Chouity has done something about it, and that might steady the man who looked tilted.

He opened to 2,600 and called when Michael Polchlopek three-bet to 7,600 from the big blind. The flop fell {4-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and Polchlopek continued for {8-Hearts}. Call. Both players checked the {8-Hearts}{7-Hearts} turn and river through.

The Pole announced ace-high and opened {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}. Chouity revealed {8-Spades}{9-Spades} for two pair and took the pot.

Antonius Gives It Up

Alessandro Speranza raised to 2,400 and was called by Georgios Karakousis and Patrik Antonius in the big blind.

The flop was {8-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and it was checked to Speranza who bet 3,800, Karakousis folded but Antonius called to see the {10-Hearts} on the turn where the Finn checked a second time. Speranza bet 5,600 and this time Antonius took a couple of minutes but again made the call.

The river was the {5-Clubs} and Antonius checked for the last time, Speranza now bet 12,800 and Antonius tanked once more but opted to fold and keep his powder dry for now.

New Deck On Table 11

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 100 ante

Although these plastic cards are quite versatile they often need replacing due to being bent and accidently marked but sometimes they just disappear!

Over on Table 11 the floor was called to change the deck because the dealer had fired a card across the table and it had gone under rail of the table, possibly never to be seen again. The floor exchanged the red-backed deck for a black-backed one just in case the offending card decides to make an appearance again.

"You're so strong," joked Olivier Busquet, causing the female dealer to blush a little.

De Meulder Was Going Well

Matthias De Meulder was at a high point of 146,000 not so long ago. Now he's debating jumping in the 2k side event after busting after a series of hands went badly for him.

The biggest pot he lost was with pocket queens. He got all the way to the river on a {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{a-} and levelled himself into calling after the big blind check-raised all-in with {a-}{10-}. The big blind was bluffing with the best hand.

He managed to double up to 30,000 with pocket nines, before he lost a few small pots.

He exit hand came when he shoved for 21,000 with {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} after a player had limped. His opponent called with king-queen and the Belgian Team PokerStars Pro was done for.

Chouity Drops

Nicolas Chouity is looking grumpy, he's dropped down a bit further after his {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs} lost to Michael Polchlopek's {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} after the board came{Q-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{6-Spades}. The former EPT Monte Carlo champion is back below 200,000
