Ciao Bona

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Salvatore Bonavena has just been knocked out and Niall Farrell keeps winning pots. First we saw Farrell win a decent sized pot off David Colin when the board read {2-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{4-Hearts}. Colin had bet 65,000 after Farrell checked and he decided to check-raise all in. Colin had 120,000 chips left behind and decided to fold.

After this hand Farrell was moved to the immediate right of Bonavena and the left of Christopher Frank.

On the very first hand on the new table it was Frank who raised to 16,000 and Farrell called. Bonavena raised to 79,000 with about 30,000 behind and the action was folded to Farrell. He tanked for a bit and then made the call.

Salvatore Bonavena: {A-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Niall Farrell: {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}

The board ran out {Q-Clubs}{2-Spades}{3-Hearts}{K-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and Bonavena was knocked out. Farrell now has the chip lead with just 39 players left in the event.

No Silver Lining for Hanowski

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Martin Hanowski
Martin Hanowski

Martin Hanowski moved in with his short stack holding {10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and was called by Steve Silverman's {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}. No surprises on the {5-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{K-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} board sent Hanowski to the rail.

Elsewhere, Russell Carson has just knocked out Aleksander Spadijer.

Refos Keeps Climbing

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Dutchman Raoul Refos just took down a nice pot from one of the chip leaders. We've heard that on a {7-}{8-}{9-}{4-}{5-} board Refos called a bet worth 85,000 with {6-}{6-} and his opponent showed {A-}{A-}. Refos has been steadily climbing in the last two hours and he's now well over the average.

Sammartino Sent Off, Frank Above 1.2 Million

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Christopher Frank - Among the chip leaders
Christopher Frank - Among the chip leaders

Giuseppe Sammartino opened to 16,000 from the hijack seat, Russell Carson three-bet to 36,000 on his direct left, and Christopher Frank cold four-bet to 68,000 on his direct left. The action was back on Sammartino, who five-bet shoved for 200,000. Carson folded, and Frank made the call.

Sammartino: {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Frank: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}

The {2-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop was quite dry, but the {a-Hearts} on the turn gave Frank a leading pair of aces. The {4-Clubs} bricked on the river, and Sammartino was eliminated.

Frank now has 1.275 million chips.
