"I'll Take a Nine"

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Mark Roovers opened to 1,900 and Liani Albano jammed for what appeared to be 22,000. Roovers gave it some consideration and called with the {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}. Albano was ahead with {a-Spades}{k-Clubs} and the {9-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{6-Hearts} flop opened some chop opportunities.

"I'll take a nine," Roovers said in table chat. After the {10-Diamonds} turn, which gave him a flush draw, he was still asking for a nine, but didn't mind the {10-Hearts} river either to settle for a split pot.
