Andrey Plotnikov was spotted in a hand against Konstantin Danilov and bet the 
turn for 15,000. Danilov jammed for around 55,000 and that sent Plotnikov into the think tank. He eventually folded and Danilov claimed the pot without showdown.
Tatyana Barausova defended her big blind against a raise by Sedrak Bagdasaryan and check-called a bet of 2,700 on the 
flop. The 
fell on the turn and Barausova check-folded when facing a second barrel worth 3,800.
The field has already been reduced to around 350 players in the first half an hour of play, and the speed of all-in showdowns is expected to continue at a rapid pace.
On the same table of Fatima Moreira De Melo, a battle of the blinds saw Siarhei Chupadal raise to 6,000 and Andrey Lukyanov three-bet to 13,600, which Chupadal called.
The flop and 
turn were checked. Chupadal bet the 
river for 15,000 and was called to reveal 
as the winning hand.
Several notables crashed out very early into Day 2 such as Marat Shafigullin, Dzmitry Urbanovich, Vasiliy Tsapko and Hristo Dechev. The latter started with around 55,000 and his former table now features Anatolii Zyrin with a far bigger stack.
A total of 10 levels of 60 minutes each will be played to finish around midnight local time and there will be a 60-minute break every two levels along with a 60-minute dinner break at the end of the sixth level.
The tables 1 to 16 can be found in the Karaoke poker room and tables 17 to 48 are in the Ballroom. The breaking order is from high to low, and the money bubble of the final 16 tables will be played in the Karaoke poker room.
There were a total of 26 new entries (including no-shows of qualifiers) for Day 2 to boost the field to 879 entries and 384 players will aim to earn their share of the prize pool. Registration has now officially closed and the payouts will be announced as soon as they become available.
Russia's famous TV presenter and commentator Dmitry Guberniev did the introduction for Day 2 in Russian and Chris Moneymaker followed up with the English version. Moneymaker also confirmed that the European Poker Tour will return to Sochi from March 20th to 29th 2020.
