Alexandre Viard in the €1,100 EPT National
Alexandre Viard in the €1,100 EPT National

Heads-up to the {j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{k-Hearts} turn, Alexandre Viard moved all-in for the last 10,500 and he picked up a reluctant call by Serge Didisheim.

Viard turned over {5-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for a flush draw and needed a club or queen for a chop as Didisheim tabled {9-Hearts}{9-Spades} for a set. The river was the {5-Spades} and that sent Viard to the rail.

Ye Doubles Through Baltaci

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

Firat Baltaci had started well into Day 1a but most of his chips have vanished into thin air, the latest big portion after a clash with EPT Open Sochi champion Yi Ye. The cards of Baltaci were already in the muck as he paid off Ye's {a-Clubs}{k-Spades} on the {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{3-Spades}{10-Spades}{7-Diamonds} river and Luke Marsh confirmed that Baltaci had made a move with the {5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}.

Mustafov Takes It on the River

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

Tom Kunze checked the {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{2-Spades}{4-Hearts} turn and called a bet worth 4,400 by Fahredin Mustafov from one seat over. The qualifier from Germany then checked the {9-Diamonds} on the river and Mustafov had barely placed his bet to earn the fold already.

The same table also features Gleb Kovtunov, who had busted Daniel Smiljkovic earlier on.

Thin Value for Merzhvinskiy

Level 4 : 100/300, 300 ante

A bet of 1,500 by Aleksandr Merzhvinskiy on the {k-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} river was called by Frederic Delval, who flashed ace-five and ended up second-best to the {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs} of Merzhvinskiy.

"Sneaky, sneaky," Delval added and then asked Merzhvinskiy if he remembered the final table of a small event they played together a month ago.

Both Delval and Merzhvinskiy, who finished third in this very event one year ago, are up in chips. Further assorted counts from nearby tables can be found below.
