Marques Doubles Through Karakousis

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Georgios Karakouis raised in middle position to 4,000 and was three-bet by Pedro Marques to 11,000. Karakousis called and saw a flop of {8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{9-Spades}. He then open jammed for Marques' last 44,300 and got called.

Pedro Marques: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Georgios Karakousis: {4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}

The turn {9-Clubs} and river {a-Hearts} couldn't bail out Karakousis, and Marques' queens held up to earn him a healthy double up.

Bise Forces Farrell to Use Eight Time Extensions

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Action was picked up on the board of {8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}. Niall Farrell, in early position, was in the tank facing a shove from Emil Bise from under the gun.

The pot was about 55,000 and Farrell continued to think it over as the shove was for around 42,000. Eventually, Farrell folded and the dealer told him he owed eight time extension cards.

"Well worth it" said Farrell as he smiled and seemed content with his decision as Bise collected the pot.

Nurzynski Eliminated

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Piotr Nurzynski was in serious trouble in a preflop all in as his {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} was dominated by the {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} of Simon Mattsson.

The case jack came on the flop {j-Spades}{q-Clubs}{a-Hearts} to give Mattsson a set but also give Nurzynski a broadway draw. The turn was the {10-Hearts} to give Nurzynski another out but the river was the {6-Clubs} blank to eliminate the Polish player.
