Villemin Erupts in Joy as He Triples With Jacks Full

Level 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante

"YES!!!"

You may have heard that yelled in the main tournament area as Mike Villemin tripled up his stack of 4,800 after getting it in preflop in a three-way pot.

Villemin couldn't contain his excitement as he flipped over {j-Clubs}{j-Spades} on the board of {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{4-} for jacks full of fours. Another player in the hand, Aaron Duczak won a small side pot with {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds} to be good for top pair.

Villemin gave Duczak a fist-bump after the hand and apologized for his outburst that had caught the attention of the entire room. The Canadian did not seem bothered.

John Duthie

A player opened from middle position and was called by Ana Marquez. John Duthie three-bet to 3,500 on the button and Steve O'Dwyer four-bet to 8,400 in the big blind.

It folded back to Duthie who called. The flop came {j-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}. O'Dwyer continued for 4,000 and Duthie called.

The turn was the {9-Spades} and both players checked. The river was the {10-Diamonds} and O'Dwyer slid a stack forward, putting Duthie all in. Duthie sat with 23,300 behind and pondered his decision, letting out a "Hmmm" before calling.

O'Dwyer turned over {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts} for ace-high, and Duthie doubled up with {j-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for top pair.
