Dvoress Goes For It On River

Level 9 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Hassan Nashar opened the action from early position to 12,000 and only Daniel Dvoress made the call from middle position.

On the {k-Clubs}{10-Spades}{6-Clubs} flop, Nashar bet 22,000 and Dvoress called. The {5-Spades} hit the turn and Nashar kept betting, this time to 38,000, which Dvoress made the call.

The {9-Diamonds} completed the board and Nashar decided on a check. Without much thought, Dvoress announced a bet of 138,000 and Nashar quickly folded, sending the pot to the Canadian.

Staahle Gets There on the River

Level 9 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Mike Watson bet 16,000 from the button on a flop of {7-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and was called by Christoph Vogelsang in the big blind. Kent Staahle also called in the cutoff as they went three ways to the {4-Clubs} turn.

All three players checked as the river came the {q-Diamonds}. Vogelsang checked and Staahle bet 27,000. Watson quickly folded, but Vogelsang tossed in a chip to call.

Staahle turned over {q-Spades}{j-Clubs} for the rivered pair of queens and Vogelsang mucked.

Everyone Has a Flush as Davies Triples

Level 9 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Seth Davies
Seth Davies

Seth Davies bet 15,000 on a board of {j-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and was called by Aleksejs Ponakovs in the big blind. Steve O'Dwyer, in early position, raised to 55,000 and Davies called.

Ponakovs then shoved all in for 285,000 and O'Dwyer tanked for a moment before calling. Davies snap-called for 270,000 as they turned their cards over, Davies and Ponakovs being at risk.

Seth Davies: {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Aleksejs Ponakovs: {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Steve O'Dwyer: {q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

All three players had turned a flush, but Davies was ahead with the nut flush. O'Dwyer and Ponakovs were already drawing dead as the {a-Clubs} fell on the river.

Ponakovs was eliminated, while Davies took a chunk off O'Dwyer.

Garagnani Scores Big Double Thru Lefrancois

Level 9 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Pascal Lefrancois had a three-bet to 30,000 in front of him from the cutoff before button Pedro Garagnani reraised to 72,000. Action folded back around to Lefrancois, who shoved all in. Garagnani quickly called for his last 380,000.

Pedro Garagnani: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}
Pascal Lefrancois: {q-Clubs}{q-Spades}

It was a classic race situation, and Garagnani would come out on front as the board came {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{4-Spades}{10-Spades}{3-Hearts}, giving him trip kings and the nearly 800,000 chip pot.

Level 9 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

On one of the first hands of Day 2, Laszlo Bujtas got his last 132,000 in the middle from the big blind and was up against Aleksejs Ponakovs on the button, who barely had him covered.

Laszlo Bujtas: {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Aleksejs Ponakovs: {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}

The board ran out {6-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{8-Spades}{a-Hearts} and Ponakovs' two queens were good enough to send Bujtas to the rail early.
