Kennedy's Kings Run Into Rotariu's Rockets

Level 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

George Rotariu was all in and at risk for 130,000 in a heads-up pot against Antony Kennedy.

George Rotariu: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}
Antony Kennedy: {k-}{k-}

Kennedy had a premium but he had run smack into the aces of Rotariu, whose hand held up for a double as the board ran out {3-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{7-Spades}{9-Spades}{j-Diamonds}. The Brit was left with around 70,000 and eliminated a few hands later.

Gecui Gets Huge Bluff Through to Surge To Top

Level 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Tudor Gecui
Tudor Gecui

There was a massive pot of close to 400,000 in the middle spotted as action was already on the river with a board reading {8-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}.

From the small blind, Tudor Gecui had moved all in for 282,000. Remigiusz Wyrzykiewicz was deep in the tank in the big blind as it was a huge decision for almost all of his chips as he had Gecui covered by only a couple of blinds.

After about two minutes of sitting completely motionless, he folded. Gecui immediately let out a big exhale of relief and tabled the {10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for the bluff and started to stack his chips as Wyrzykiewicz simply smiled and acknowledged the good bluff.

While stacking in the very next hand he called the all in from Vincenc Gonzales. Gecui's {a-}{j-} would hold vs the {k-}{q-} of Gonzales to eliminate him and add another portion of chips to his stack which is now one of the largest in the room.

Gottlieb Calls With King-High, Runs Into Set

Level 18 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

In a blind versus blind hand against Gonzalo Gottlieb and [Removed:464], Gottlieb checked on the flop of {10-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} with over 100,000 already in the middle. Semaska bet 30,000 and Gottlieb called.

The turn brought the {7-Clubs} and Gottlieb again checked. Semaska checked back. Gottlieb checked a third time on the {5-Hearts} river and Semaska announced "all in" for 121,000. Gottlieb gave it some thought and called with his opponent covered.

Semaska showed a monster with {q-Spades}{q-Hearts} for top set, while Gottlieb was forced to reveal {k-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} for just king-high.
