Silva Takes From Taherkhani

Level 17 : Blinds 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Pablo Brito Silva
Pablo Brito Silva

Kanan Taherkhani opened to 13,000 from under the gun, and Pablo Silva called in the big blind.

The dealer fanned a flop of A28 and Taherkhani made a continuation bet of 15,000. Silva called, then both players checked on the turn 7.

The J came on the river and Taherkhani checked, so Silva was free to bet 55,000. Taherkhani eventually folded.

Aces for Diaz

Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Alex Keating
Alex Keating

In a blind-on-blind battle between Martin Diaz and Alex Keating, the latter had raised to 25,000 from the big blind after a limp from Diaz. Diaz then three-bet to 100,000 before Keating four-bet jammed, covering Diaz's 318,000 chips. Diaz called quicker than lightning and the cards were tabled.

Martin Diaz: AA
Alex Keating: 22

The flop brought a big sweat when 1079Q rolled off, but the K river did not complete Keating's flush draw. Much to the relief of Diaz, his aces held up as he soared up the leaderboard and received a stack of double the average.

Unfortunate Split For Nazarov

Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Ladev has used his big stack to apply pressure on his opponents close to the bubble, and once again, he opened to 10,000 from under the gun. This time, Dmitrii Nazarov, in early position, three-bet to 30,000.

All the other players folded, then Ladev decided to go all in. Nazarov snap-called.

Dmitrii Nazarov: AQ
Markkos Ladev: A3

Nazarov turned around so he couldn't see the board. His opponents told him he could look at it after he hit a pair on the flop Q9K.

Unfortunately for him, the J came on the turn and the 10 on the river to give a straight to both players, so Nazarov split the pot, instead of doubling up.

Nazarian Sends Sereika to the Rail

Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Sergi Reixach opened the cutoff to 85,000 before facing a three-bet from Karolis Sereika on the button to 45,000. The action was then on Karen Nazarian in the small blind who moved all in having both players covered. Reixach folded and Sereika called off for his tournament life.

Karolis Sereika: KQ
Karen Nazarian: 88

The full board ran out J6355 and Sereika hit the rail on the soft bubble.

Nitsche Doubles Up Diaz

Level 16 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Martin Diaz opened the action with a raise from middle position before Dominik Nitsche put in a three-bet from the cutoff. Diaz then four-bet jammed for 162,000 and Nitsche made the call with the covering stack.

Martin Diaz: AA
Dominik Nitsche: JJ

Nitsche did not hit a miracle this time, as the 1031099 board saw Diaz double up with his aces.
