Docherty Busts Rantala

Level 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
David Docherty
David Docherty

The board read 282K2 and around 16,000 was in the middle when Eero Rantala moved all in for 14,100, sending his opponent, David Docherty, into the tank.

Docherty made the call to put Rantala at risk and got the good news when his 98 for a full house was sufficient to beat Rantala's A6 for ace-high.

Aissani's Cowboys Send Kervella Out

Level 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Marius Johansen limped from under the gun and just behind him, Mohamed Aissani raised to 3,400. Action folded around to Jean-Philippe Kervella in the big blind, who shoved for approximately 15,000 total. Johansen folded and Aissani quickly called to put Kervella at risk.

Jean-Philippe Kervella: AJ
Mohamed Aissani: KK

Kervella would need some help to survive, but the 78964 runout was clean for Aissani and Kervella was sent to the rail.

Pardo Knocks Out Gonzalez

Level 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Jose Gonzalez
Jose Gonzalez

David Docherty had opened in early position and was called by Jose Manuel Gonzalez on the button and Jorge Pardo in the big blind.

On the 647 flop Pardo led out with a bet of 7,500, which Docherty called. Action was on Gonzalez, who moved all in for 16,900.

Pardo then re-jammed and, after considering the spot for a couple of minutes, Docherty folded. Gonzalez was at risk.

Jose Manuel Gonzalez: 45
Jorge Pardo: 46

Gonzalez had bottom pair with an open-ended straight draw, but was in trouble versus Pardo's two pair.

The 92 runout did not alter matters and Gonzalez was eliminated, wishing his table well as he exited the tournament area.

Level 10 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Jon Kyte
Jon Kyte

Jon Kyte opened to 2,500 first-to-act and was three-bet to 7,500 by Benny Glaser in middle position. It was folded back around to Kyte, who made the call.

Kyte check-called a 6,000 bet from Glaser on the Q5K flop and a 13,000 bet from Glaser on the 9 turn.

Both players checked down on the K river and Kyte tabled AQ for kings and queens. Glaser couldn't beat it and mucked — sending the pot Kyte's way.

Kicker Plays for Pudel

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Bhavin Khatri opened to 2,500 from the cutoff. Action folded around to Nils Pudel who defended the big blind.

Khatri led out for 1,500 on the 2Q10 flop which Pudel reraised to 6,100. Khatri quickly put Pudel all in for roughly 20,000 more. Pudel called and showed KQ which dominated Khatri's Q8.

The 4 turn and A river meant that Pudel's top pair had Khatri's outkicked and gave Pudel a double up.

Skarparis Busts Palandiuk With Hero Call

Level 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Georgios Skarparis opened to 2,400 from under the gun, and was called by Vasyl Palandiuk in middle position and the blinds.

On the Q35 flop Skarparis continued with a bet of 5,300 and was called by Palandiuk only.

On the 9 turn Skarparis continued with the aggression, firing out a bet of 10,600. After a period of thought, Palandiuk called.

On the 9 river Skarparis checked to his opponent, who promptly moved all in for 8,700.

After two minutes of thought, Skarparis made the call.

Palandiuk turned over J10 for jack-high, his flush draw having missed, while Skarparis turned over A4, with his ace-high good enough to take a chunky pot and send Palandiuk to the exit.
