Petrangelo and Pärssinen Score Knockouts

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Nuter vs Petrangelo
Nuter vs Petrangelo

Nick Petrangelo raised to 16,000 and Timothy Nuter three-bet to 60,000 in the small blind, which Petrangelo called. The flop brought {q-Spades}{7-Spades}{2-Hearts} and Nuter bet 38,080, which Petrangelo just called.

On the {a-Diamonds} turn, Nuter bet 43,405 to earn another call and checked the {10-Diamonds} on the river, Petrangelo jammed for an effective 144,715 and Nuter called with the {a-Spades}{j-Clubs} for the top pair. However, he walked right into {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} for a set and hit the rail.

Bruno Volkmann also ran out of chips. The Brazilian flipped on the button with {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs} but Eelis Pärssinen prevailed with {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds} in the small blind. Just one club and no paint cards appeared on the {10-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{6-Spades} board, which even gave Pärssinen a straight.

O'Dwyer No More

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Steve O'Dwyer called the jam by Sami Kelopuro on the {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop and saw his opponent turn over the {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts} for an overpair. O'Dwyer had the {a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} for top pair and runner-runner diamond draw. One diamond appeared on the {10-Diamonds} turn but the {2-Hearts} river was a blank.

Down to crumbs, O'Dwyer departed in the very next hand.

Veira Scores the Post Late Reg Boost

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

On a flop of {5-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Spades}, the chips went in between Rui Ferreira via check-jam out of the big blind and Joao Vieira in the cutoff.

Ferreira tabled the {k-Clubs}{8-Spades} while Vieira had the overpair in {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}. The [{a-Spades} turn gave Ferreira a flush but the {3-Hearts} river paired the board.

Wei Zhao defended the big blind against Artur Martirosian and they checked the {9-Spades}{8-Spades}{6-Spades} flop. Zhao bet the {7-Clubs} turn for 21,500 and jammed the {2-Diamonds} river for 55,800. Martirosian snap-called with {j-Spades}{7-Spades} for a flush as Zhao departed with {k-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} for a straight.

Down to Four Tables

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

David Yan entered and busted to Timothy Nuter in the first hand to re-enter right in time just before the registration closed.

Vousden Busts To Rudolph

Level 18 : 3,500/7,000, 850 ante

Christian Rudolph raised to 15,400 in the hijack and Samuel Vousden made the call ut of the big blind. On a {9-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop, Vousden elected to check and Rudolph bet 41,300 into 40,250 in order to pick up a call.

The {8-Hearts} on the turn was checked and Vousden activated his time bank on the {9-Spades} river. He then moved all-in for 238,310 and Rudolph called with the slightly superior stack. Vousden revealed {7-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} for a bluff gone wrong as Rudolph earned the big pot with {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} for just ace-jack high and the pair of nines on the board.
