Ponakovs Takes the Lead

The action started with a raise to 118,000 by Aleksejs Ponakovs in the hijack and Matthias Eibinger came along on the button. Seth Davies then three-bet to 436,000 in the small blind and Ponakovs called.

Eibinger used a portion of his time bank and folded. The flop brought and Davies checked to Ponakovs, who made it 216,000 to go. A reluctant call by Davies followed, who checked the turn once more. Ponakovs now bet 330,000 for one-fifth of the pot and Davies sent his cards into the muck.
