Jared Palmer Eliminated in 11th Place ($4,055)

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Jared Palmer
Jared Palmer

Jared Palmer had visions of a huge double up after his {Q-}{5-} flopped two pair on a {Q-}{8-}{5-} board. He had one opponent in John Michalak and the two players would get it all in on the {A-} turn. Unfortunately for Palmer, Michalak had turned a bigger two pair with his {A-}{5-} and the river would not be the Queen Palmer needed to stay alive.

We're now down to ten players and are combining to the final table.

Trenton Baker Eliminated in 12th Place ($4,055)

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Trenton Baker
Trenton Baker

Trenton Baker found himself somewhat short-stacked and would get the last of his chips all in with {A-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. He would find action in the form of Scott Dehm who held {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}. The flop would give Dehm a set as it came {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}. Only a Jack would keep Baker alive but it would not come and he was eliminated in 12th place.

Danny Clements Doubles Through Trevor Renner

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

With a board of {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}, Trevor Renner moved all in and was called by Danny Clements. Renner held {K-Spades}{K-Hearts} for an overpair while Clements had {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for an open-ended straight-flush draw. The turn would give Clements the flush with the {J-Clubs} and the {A-Clubs} on the river would change nothing.

Joey Couden Doubles Through Danny Clements

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Joey Couden and Danny Clements are passing chips back and forth lately. After doubling up Clements, Couden just doubled up with {Q-Spades}{J-Spades} against Clements {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts} when he would hit a Jack on the river. Both players are currently sitting with about the same stack of approximately 100,000.

PJ Grace Doubles Again

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

PJ Grace continues his upwards climb. This time he did so at the hands of Todd Funderburg. With the board showing {10-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts} and approximately 75,000 in the pot, Funderburg check-called Grace's 71,500 all in river bet. Funderburg would muck after Grace turned over {K-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}. "Nice hand," said Funderburg as he slid a stack of chips over to Grace.

Nick Guagenti Eliminated in 13th Place ($4,055)

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Nick Guagenti
Nick Guagenti

With a board of {8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{A-Clubs}, Nick Guagenti got the last of his stack in with a draw with {5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}. He would need to hit the draw as John Michalak had {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs} for a flopped set. The river was the {4-Spades} and Guagenti stood up and wished the rest of the table luck. He is our first player eliminated in the money.

Danny Clements Doubles Through Joey Couden

Level 16 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Danny Clements moved all in against Joey Couden with {2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and was quickly called by Couden who had {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts}. Couden was looking good to eliminate Clements after the flop came {Q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} but the {2-Hearts} on the turn moved Clements into the lead. Couden could still win the pot with a Jack or Ten but the river was the {9-Spades} to give Clements a much needed double up and crippling Couden in the process.
