Snead Takes Chip Lead

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

The board read {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}. Frank Bonacci made a bet of 350,000 and was called by Calvin Snead fairly quickly.

Snead had the winner as he revealed the {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs} which bested the {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs} of Bonacci and Snead took over the chip lead for the first time today.

Bonacci Chipping Up

Frank Bonacci has won a series of small pots in the last few minutes to chip up. Including one where he bet 150,000 on a flop of {q-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} over to Calvin Snead who called.

The turn was the {3-Clubs}. Bonacci bet once again, for 225,000 and Snead folded to give Bonacci the pot.

Snead Milks Value With Aces

The flop came {2-Spades}{7-Spades}{9-Clubs}. Snead bet 150,000 and Bonacci called. The turn was the {a-Diamonds}. Snead bet 150,000 again and again was called.

The river was the {3-Clubs}. Snead fired again, this time for 625,000 which made Bonacci get out of the way quickly. Snead collected the pot as he had the {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} which was ahead of the {10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} of Bonacci the whole way.

Snead Takes Three-Way Showdown to Get Off the Bottom

All three players saw the flop of {5-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{10-Spades}. All three players committed chips to the pot.

The turn was the {9-Diamonds}. Calvin Snead bet 200,000 and was called by both Greg Raymer and then Frank Bonacci. The river was the {9-Hearts} and all three players checked their hands, Bonacci doing so after commenting how he didn't know what was going on in the hand.

Snead showed the {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts} which was the winner as his opponents mucked. The stream showed that Raymer had the {6-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and Bonacci was out-kicked with the {j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}. With the pot Snead moved into 2nd in chips.

The river was the {6-Hearts}. Snead made a down sized bet of 110,000 which Raymer raised to 280,000. Snead paused a moment and called.

Raymer showed the {q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} for trips which bested the {a-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} of Snead to give the nice pot to Raymer.

The river was the {q-Hearts}. Snead checked and Raymer bet 225,000 which Snead called after a moment,

Raymer turned over the {k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for winning trips as Snead mucked the {7-Spades}{6-Clubs}.
