Ernest Blazer

Evan Bethyo raised on the button, and Edward Blazer three-bet shoved for 374,000 in the small blind. Bethyo called.

Edward Blazer: {k-Hearts}{8-Spades}
Evan Bethyo: {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}

Blazer pulled ahead on the {k-Spades}{3-Spades}{6-Spades} flop, but Bethyo picked up a flush draw. He didn't need it, however, as the {j-Hearts} turn gave him a set and left Blazer dead to the {2-Hearts} river.

Marshall Binks the River on Blazer

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Daniel Marshall raised to 37,000 from middle position, and Edward Blazer three-bet shoved in the big blind. Marshall shrugged, then called off his last 339,000.

Daniel Marshall: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Edward Blazer: {5-Spades}{5-Hearts}

Blazer held on the {4-Spades}{6-Spades}{j-Clubs} flop and {9-Hearts} turn, but he slammed his fists on the table when the {k-Clubs} fell on the river.

"On the f***ing river!" tablemate Marc Yofon told Marshall, who smiled and said, "Better late than never!"

Robert Lay
Robert Lay

Robert Lay limped in from the hijack, and Benjamin Craig called in the cutoff. Rich Alsup checked his option in the big blind, and the trio saw a {3-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{7-Clubs} flop fall.

Lay bet 40,000, and only Craig called to see the {8-Spades} fall on the turn. Lay jammed for 130,000 and Craig snap-called.

Robert Lay: {j-Clubs}{10-Hearts}
Benjamin Craig: {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}

"Nine!" Lay said upon seeing his top pair was trumped by the set of Craig, but the {5-Spades} river left him wanting.

"Got 'em crushed!" Underwood said with a good-natured smile.

Bethyo caught up on the {q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop, and although Underwood picked up a few outs on the {3-Clubs} turn, the {6-Spades} river ended Underwood's tournament run.

Michael Schlegel busted at Table 3 a short time later.

Elwood Whitney: {a-Spades}{8-Clubs}
Daniel Sepiol: {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}

"I looked at that one," Whitney said when he revealed the {a-Spades}. Whitney stood from his chair before the flop came out, but started to take his seat again when the {10-Spades}{8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} gave him trips.

"Queen!" Sepiol said after the {k-Clubs} fell on the turn, giving him a Broadway draw, but Whitney filled up on the {a-Clubs} river to double up.

"Talk is Cheap"

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

David Gutfreund raised to 41,000 from the cutoff, and Edward Blazer three-bet to 123,000 in the small blind. Gutfreund went into the tank.

"Go ahead, go all-in, I'll call you," Blazer said.

Gutfreund moved in, then called the floor to ask if Blazer's statement was binding. It was ruled that it was not binding, and Blazer folded.

Gutfreund showed {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} and said, "Talk is cheap...actions speak louder than words."

Hackney Wins Four-Way Pot; Updated Counts From Table 7

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Niel Mittelman raised to 35,000 from middle position, and was called by Rich Alsup in the cutoff, Dale Hackney on the button, and Kevin Maahs in the big blind.

Action checked to Hackney on a {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}{9-Hearts} flop, and he bet 75,000. Everyone folded.

A few hands later, Rich Alsup managed to double up with aces against Niel Mittelman's kings, and the duo essentially swapped stacks.
