Aces for Horno

Daniela Horno
Daniela Horno

Action folded to the cutoff and he put in a raise to 16,000. The player on the button then moved all in for 147,000. Daniela Horno was next to act in the small blind and after a moment's thought, she moved all in over the top for around 160,000. The cutoff considered it, but eventually folded {6-}{6-} face up.

At that point, Horno rolled over {A-Hearts}{A-Spades} while her opponent stood up and flipped over the inferior {K-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}. The {3-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{5-Hearts} flop was about as unexciting as they come, while the {2-Diamonds} turn left the button drawing dead. The {A-Diamonds} on the river improved Horno to a full house and she took down the healthy pot, chipping up to 320,000 in the process.

Minond Eliminated

Oded Minond, who bubbled the final table at LAPT Punta del Este last season, has just been eliminated.

He committed his last 90,000 with {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and faced an opponent with {A-Spades}{J-Clubs}. Unfortunately for Minond, the board ran out {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{7-Spades} and his Main Event is finished.

New Threat in Town

The details have alluded us, but we do know that Leonardo Olivares just doubled through Waldermar Barrientos for a massive 425,000 pot. We're not sure of the latter's cards, but we do know that Olivares held {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} on a {2-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{A-Diamonds} board.

We Catch A Montano Hand...But He Loses

Sebastian Altieri opened with a raise to 16,000 in middle position and Luis Montano called on the button. Carlos Munoz shoved from the big blind for 57,000 and only Montano came along.

Showdown
Montano: {K-Clubs}{J-Spades}
Munoz: {A-Hearts}{5-Hearts}

The board ran out {6-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} as Munoz dodged Montano's face cards to double up.

Perez Sent Packing

We saw a commotion over at the far table and hastily made our way over. A big hand had just occurred, but unfortunately for us, the dealer had already swiped the cards into the muck. Nonetheless, we do know the result . . . Luis Perez has been eliminated.

Montano Still Rising

Every time we head back to Luis Montano's table, he has an additional 100,000 in his stack, so we'll stick around there for a bit to see how he does it. He is by far the chip leader.

Capdevila Disappears

We're not sure when our how it happened, but we can confirm that Luis Capdevila has been eliminated from the tournament.

XTheDecanoX Gone

Thiago Nishijima
Thiago Nishijima

The players have picked up right where they left off at dinner, that being a flurry of eliminations. Most recently, Brazilian Thiago "XTheDecanoX" Nishijima was sent to the rail after a player in middle position raised, he moved all in and the other player called. Nishijima held {5-}{5-} against his opponent's {A-}{J-}, and it held until the river when an ace spiked to put an end to Nishijima's LAPT Chile dreams.
