Zakharov Knocks Out Two

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

With 8,000 in the middle on a flop of {k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}, Alper Cankurtaranli bet 2,000 from middle position and was called by Symeon Alexandridis in the cutoff.

Yuriy Zakharov on the button raised to 6,400 which got the small blind to fold, but the original aggressor Cankurtaranli moved all in for 21,500. Alexandridis also moved all in for 29,600. After a minute of thinking it over, Zakharov called and covered both players.

Alper Cankurtaranli: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}
Symeon Alexandridis: {7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Yuriy Zakharov: {k-Spades}{5-Spades}

Zakharov was ahead with top and bottom pair, beating Alexandridis's bottom two pair and cracking Cankurtaranli's pocket rockets.

The {4-Clubs}{2-Hearts} completed the board which was no help for the at-risk players and Zakharov doubled up as well as eliminating two players.

Kerim Gets Thin Value

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Alessio Isaia
Alessio Isaia

After an option from Alper Kerim in early position, he made it 1,600 to go and got a call from the next player to act,
Bruno Fitoussi. It then folded to the big blind of the recent second place finisher in Event #1: The Open, Alessio Isaia, who also called.

To a flop, a 1,800 chip continuation bet was made by Kerim into a {6-Spades}{8-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} board, Fitoussi folded and Isaia made the call.

Both players checked the {k-Spades} turn to send them to a {j-Clubs} river. Once again Isaia checked and Kerim bet 1,200 chips which the Italian quickly called.

Kerim's {q-Clubs}{9-Clubs} was good enough to ship the pot, moving him up over the 6-figure mark, double starting stack.

Hassan Soaring; Saakyan Hits the Rail

Level 7 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Ali Hassan
Ali Hassan

Ercan Hasan kindly filled PokerNews in on preflop action. After Ali Hassan raised to 1,800, Hasan flatted his small blind before Arutun Saakyan made it 7,000 from the big blind. With action back on the original raiser, he made it 18,000. Ercan Hasan folded and Saakyan moved all in for 51,800 chips.

Ali Hassan went into the tank for the better part of a minute, looking up at the tournament information board at the blind level presumably, before deciding to call.

Arutun Saakyan: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Ali Hassan: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

It was a classic flip situation and the board of {8-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{9-Clubs}{k-Hearts} was looking great for a double for Saakyan, as he got up out of his chair as the at risk player. He just needed to fade a few outs but the {q-Diamonds} completed to board giving Hassan a pair of queens to knock the Armenian player out.

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Aylar Lie
Aylar Lie

All of the chips went into the middle preflop with Aylar Lie in middle position at risk for 44,000 against Luca Stevanato in the cutoff.

Aylar Lie: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Luca Stevanato: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}

The flop of {q-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{5-Clubs} gave Stevanato a gut-shot straight draw and a backdoor flush draw, but the Italian saw two bricks when the {6-Diamonds}{7-Spades} completed the board, giving Lie a double up.

Level 6 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante
Italo Modena
Italo Modena

Italo Modena of Teviso, Italy was involved in a pot versus Damir Zhugralin, where Zhugralin had raised from early position to 1,000. Modena decided to make 3,500 next to act and action was back on the Kazakhstani player. He didn't take long to make the call to take the two heads-up to a flop.

A {q-Hearts}{8-Spades}{q-Diamonds} board was quickly checked by both gentlemen.

The {9-Diamonds} however, drew action from the two. First Zhugralin lead out for 2,500 chips before Modena went back to his preflop aggressive ways, making it 9,200 chips to go.

Zhugralin paused, analysing the hand and board, before letting his cards go into the muck.

With 8,000 in the middle on the turn board of {q-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{10-Clubs}, Ercan Hasan bet 4,000 from early position and was called by Avichay Pinchas in the cutoff.

The {2-Clubs} on the river allowed Hasan to bet 15,000. Pinchas announced "Okay, you win!" and folded {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} face up. Hasan went to muck their cards, but in a show of comradery showed {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} for a set of tens.

Kerim Wins Small Pot From Fitoussi

Level 6 : 300/600, 600 ante

Three players saw a monotone flop of {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} with 4,500 in the middle which all three checked.

A fourth diamond rolled over on the {8-Diamonds} turn. Alper Kerim bet 1,100 from the small blind. Bruno Fitoussi in the big blind made the call while MPP Open runner-up Alessio Isaia folded on the button.

Both players checked the {k-Hearts} river and Kerim tabled {a-Clubs}{7-Hearts} for a flopped two pair. Fitoussi mucked their hand and Kerim took a small pot.
