Secilmis Eliminates Gungoren

Level 13 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Dmitry Gromov raised to 10,500 from under the gun and Ugur Secilmis called on the button. So did Steven van Zadelhoff and Gurcan Gungoren in the blinds.

The flop came {6-Hearts}{8-Spades}{9-Spades}, Van Zadelhoff checked, Gungoren shoved for 75,500 and only Secilmis called.

Gurcan Gungoren: {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Ugur Secilmis: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}

Gungoren had flopped two pair while Secilmis had the overpair.

The turn was the {6-Spades} to pair the board up to now give Secilmis the higher two pair.

Only another eight or nine could save Gungoren but he bricked the river was the {k-Clubs} was dealt.

Jack O'Neill
Jack O'Neill

Mikhail Galitskiy raised to 10,000 from the early position, James Romero called from mid-position. Jack O'Neill three-bet to 35,000 from the hijack which was only called by Galitskiy.

The flop came {10-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{10-Hearts}, Galitskiy check-called the 28,000 continuation-bet of O'Neill.

The {4-Clubs} was dealt on the turn on which they both checked to see the {4-Diamonds} complete the board on the river. Galitskiy bet 38,000 and O'Neill responded with a shove having Galitskiy slightly covered. Galitskiy called for the 152,000 he had behind with {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for the flopped two pair. O'Neill had {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} for the two pair on the board with the ace-kicker in his hand.

Geilich Falls to Christoforou

Level 12 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Ludovic Geilich
Ludovic Geilich

The player in the under-the-gun position limped in and Ludovic Geilich raised to 21,500 from the hijack. Andreas Christoforou three-bet to 65,000 in the cutoff and action folded back to the initial raiser who folded. Geilich called.

The flop came {8-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{3-Spades}, Geilich now shoved for the 84,600 he had behind. Christoforou contemplated his options for a while and then flicked in the chip for the call.

Ludovic Geilich: {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}
Andreas Christoforou: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

Geilich was still ahead when the cards went on their backs but the {q-Clubs} on the turn meant that only a six could save his tournament life.

The river completed the board with the {10-Clubs} which meant Geilich was done for now. He can still reenter until the end of the break after this level so the partypoker pro might be back later on.
