Damir Zhugralin raised to 20,000 under the gun and got called by Krasimir Yankov in the cutoff, Chady Ojeil from the button, and Onur Ozgur out of the big blind.
Four players saw the flop come down Q♦3♠5♣ and the action checked around for the 9♥ to drop on the turn. Kalinin checked, and Zhugralin put out a delayed continuation-bet of 35,000. Yankov and Ojeil called, but Ozgur folded.
Zhugralin checked when the A♦ landed on the river and Yankov put out a big bet of 335,000. Ojeil thought it about for quite some time before folding, but Zhugralin tossed in the call.
Yankov tabled 3♣3♥ for a flopped set to win the pot, as Zhugralin mucked his cards.
Abdullah Alajmi limped under the gun before Dmitry Gromov raised to 40,000 from the next seat. Joseph Haddad called on the button, Gurcan Gungoren called from the small blind, and Alajmi called as well.
When the flop came down J♦6♠5♦, Gungoren shoved for 465,000 and only the initial raiser Gromov called.
Gurcan Gungoren: J♠10♥
Dmitry Gromov: A♠A♣
Gromov had the goods this time with the bullets and had Gungoren on the ropes with top pair. The rest of the board ran out 4♥5♠ and Gungoren was out of the tournament.
Konstantin Voronin’s love for the 2025 Merit Millions Event is undeniable. After surviving Day 1a with a healthy stack of 950,000, he was among the first to register for Day 1b, eager to improve his chances of claiming the $1,000,000 first-place prize.
His determination is paying off as he now sits with roughly 1,500,000 chips, proving once again his passion for poker and his commitment to making a deep run at Merit.
