Over $9 Million Guaranteed at the 2025 Mediterranean Poker Party!

Level 4 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Mediterranean Poker Party
Mediterranean Poker Party

The Mediterranean Poker Party (MPP) returns to the Merit Royal Diamond Casino and Spa from May 3, bringing with it more than $9 million in guaranteed prize pools, including a monster-sized $5,300 buy-in, $5 million guaranteed MPP Main Event.

The 2025 edition of the MPP runs from May 3 through May 13 and wastes no time in exploding into action with the first of several seven-figure guaranteed events. Players will flock in droves to enter the $1,100 No-Limit Hold'em PokerOK Mystery Bounty event, which spans May 3-5.

While the Mystery Bounty edges toward crowning its champion, a $2,200 buy-in, $2,000,000 guaranteed NLHE Luxon Pay Grand Final shuffles up and deals. This tournament runs May 5-9 and should see a massive turnout. Last year, Bulgaria's Boris Kolev outlasted 1,564 opponents and banked an impressive $437,000, a prize second in size only to the first of Kolev's two World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet victories.

The biggest 2025 MPP tournament, at least in terms of prize money, is the $5,300 NLHE MPP Main Event and its $5 million guarantee. Other events include the $10,400 Onyx High Roller, which Jovan Kenjic won in 2024 for $365,000, the $1,100 EAPT Cyprus Main Event, the $1,100 NLHE 6-Max Turbo Bounty, and the $10,400 Onyx 6-Max High Roller.

Naryman Yaghmaie raised under the gun to 16,000 and was met by a three-bet to 52,000 from Seyed Ghavam in the next seat. Kadir Altinbasak cold-called from middle position and Yaghmaie folded.

The two players checked the A108 flop to see the 5 land on the turn. Ghavam fired out 53,000 and Altinbasak tossed his cards into the muck.

Guilbert Chips Up

Level 3 : 3,000/7,000, 7,000 ante

Elie Farah came in with a raise from under the gun to 15,000 and was met by a three-bet to 50,000 by Johan Guilbert from the hijack. Farah stuck around with a call.

The flop came down 392 and Farah knuckled the table. Guilbert put out a continuation-bet of 92,000 and Farah folded while commenting to Guilbert, "Show one time please". Guilbert did not comply and slid his cards face down to the dealer.

Oleg Ustinovich
Oleg Ustinovich

Oleg Ustinovich has been the first casualty of Day 1c after he ran his AxKx into the AxAx of Mustafa Ercan. There was a king on the flop for Ustinovich, but not further help meant he was sent for an early shower.

Aleksandr Kirichenko
Aleksandr Kirichenko

Aleksandr Kirichenko raised from early position to 13,000 with Alexandros Kolonias calling from the cutoff, and Oleg Ustinovich defended his big blind.

After Ustinovich checked to Kirichenko on the 10Q8 flop, he fired out a bet of 28,000. Kolonias called before Ustinovich check-raised to 110,000. Kirichenko and Kolonias called.

The 9 turn checked through for the 5 to fall on the river. Ustinovich checked and Kirichenko fired out a bet of 230,000. Kolonias folded, but Ustinovich reluctantly called. Kirichenko showed the winner with AJ for a turn straight, and the pot was sent to him.
