Alexander Sokolovsky didn't have the best of days yesterday with Day 1a, and he Day 1b is going to well either. Though, he did just take down a pot to help his situation.
On a board of 9♠2♦K♣K♦7♦, Dmytro Yushevych had bet 900 on the river into a pot of around 5,000, only for Sokolovsky to raise to 5,500. After some deliberation, Yushevych did decide to let it go.
Sokolovsky has a Merit Poker Main Event final table under his belt, when he finished sixth in the 2025 Western Series Main Event for a cool $75,900.
