Barsegian Puts Tsouloftas to the Test

Level 2 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

A pot of 36,000 was already in the middle as Eduard Barsegian and Georgios Tsouloftas went to the turn on a board of {9-Spades}{2-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}. Barsegian, in the small blind, checked over to Tsouloftas who bet 18,000 from under the gun.

Barsegian called as the {3-Spades} fell on the river. Barsegian this time slid his entire stack forward, moving all in. Tsouloftas, with around 67,000 remaining, tanked for only a moment before folding.

Farah quickly folded, but Doe snap-shoved for 73,000. Tyurin gave it some thought before sliding his cards back to the dealer.

Livshitz, Baybars Tangle Again in Massive Pot

Level 2 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Gabi Livshitz
Gabi Livshitz

Soon after playing their previous big pot against each other, Gabi Livshitz and Halil Baybars got involved in another that turned out to be the biggest so far on Day 1b.

Heads-up on a flop of {7-Spades}{5-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}, Baybars bet 20,000 from the button before Livshitz threw in two white 25,000 chips, raising to 50,000. Baybars spent a few minutes in the tank before calling.

The turn came the {j-Diamonds} and Livshitz put in three 25,000 chips this time, enough to put Baybars all in for his remaining 50,000. Baybars shrugged and committed his last chips, turning over {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}. Livshitz had {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for a pair and straight draw.

The {6-Spades} on the river completed Livshitz's straight as Baybars threw his arms in the air in frustration before making a quick exit.

Baybars Raises the River on Livshitz, Shows One

Level 2 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Halil Baybars and Gabi Livshitz built a pot of 15,000 heading to the {7-Spades}{4-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} flop as both players checked.

The turn came the {j-Spades} and Livshitz, in middle position, led out for 3,500. Baybars called from the hijack to see the {4-Hearts} river.

Livshitz bet another 4,000 before Baybars put in a raise to 18,000. "Pass," Livshitz immediately said as he folded, wagging his finger at Baybars who flashed a smile as he took the pot.

"One time," Baybars said as he slid his cards towards Livshitz and let him select one to show.

"Queen," Livshitz asked before he turned over the {k-Spades}. "Ah, king. Not enough," he added.

Gabriel Akiki and Daniel Myers built a pot of around 26,000 heading to a flop of {5-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}. Both players checked.

The turn came the {3-Diamonds} and Myers, under the gun, checked again. Akiki tossed out 15,000 from the hijack and Myers called to see the {7-Hearts} river.

Myers checked once more and Akiki quickly checked behind. Myers turned over {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts} for ace-high, but Akiki had {k-Clubs}{k-Spades} to take the pot.

"I thought you had aces," Akiki told Myers after the hand.

"I wish," Myers replied.

Boris Angelov raised to 4,000 from the button before Terence Etim three-bet to 13,000 out of the small blind. Angelov called to see the {j-Clubs}{a-Spades}{8-Clubs} flop.

Etim continued for 7,500 and Angelov again called. Both players checked the {6-Diamonds} turn.

On the {3-Spades} river, Etim announced he was all in for 55,100 and slowly began pushing his stacks of chips in the middle. "Ace-king," Angelov asked with a puzzled look as he tanked for around two minutes.

Angelov eventually folded as Etim claimed the pot. "I like your style," a tablemate told him following the hand.

Saad Calls Down Ivanov

Level 1 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

With around 20,000 in the pot on a board of {k-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{2-Spades}{10-Spades}, Aleksandr Ivanov bet 9,000 from the cutoff and was called by Eli Saad in early position.

The river came the {5-Spades} and Saad checked over to Ivanov, who bet another 26,000. Saad leaned back in his chair and gave the decision some thought before committing the chips to call.

"Ace-high," Ivanov said, turning over {a-Spades}{8-Hearts}. Saad showed {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts} for top pair to take down the pot.

Livshitz Active Early

Level 1 : Blinds 300/600, 600 ante

A player on the button raised to 2,000 before Gabi Livshitz, in the big blind, splashed in a three-bet of around 20,000. The button tanked for a few moments before mucking {a-}{k-}.

A few hands later, Livshitz would get involved in another big pot, this time against Joseph Houayek. With around 7,000 in the middle and the flop showing {4-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}, Livshitz bet 2,700 from the cutoff and was called by Houayek in the big blind.

Both players checked the {10-Clubs} turn before Houayek led out for 6,000 when the river came the {k-Spades}. Livshitz spent about a minute counting out his stack before putting in a raise to 28,000.

Now it was Houayek's turn to tank before eventually calling. Livshitz turned over {q-Spades}{j-Diamonds} for the rivered straight as he took in the pot.
