Overton Keeps Climbing

A short-stacked player in the hijack went all in for 8,500. On the button, Aaron Overton called and the blinds got out of the way. Overton tabled {A-Clubs}{9-Spades} and had his opponent's {A-Diamonds}{4-Spades} crushed. The board ran out {6-Hearts}{3-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{3-Clubs} and secured the knockout for Overton.

Robinson v. Wong Two Times

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 100 ante

We just watched two consecutive pots unfold between David Robinson and big stack Jerry Wong. On the first, Robinson opened to 2,600 before Wong three-bet him to 6,500. Robinson flatted, and the two men both checked through the {6-Hearts} {J-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} flop. On the {4-Spades} turn, Robinson took the lead with 7,600 chips of his own, and that coaxed a fold from Wong.

On the next hand, Robinson opened with another raise, and Wong decided to smooth-call this time. Robinson checked the {Q-Spades} {Q-Clubs} {5-Diamonds} flop, and Wong bet 4,000. Robinson called, and he called another 8,500 after the {J-Spades} fell on fourth street. On the river, the {8-Hearts} drew one last check from Robinson, and Wong reluctantly checked it back.

Robinson turned over the {A-Clubs} {A-Hearts}, good enough to win his second pot in a row and boost his stack up to about 140,000.

Lee Busts Paredes

Carlos Mortensen kicked off the action with a raise to 3,000 from early position. David Paredes re-raised all in for about 13,000 from middle position and next to act, Bernard Lee four-bet to 31,000. The rest of the table folded and Lee tabled {A-}{A-}, having Parades' {K-}{Q-} in bad shape. The board brought no help to Paredes and ended his tournament.

D'Agostino Busts One

From early-middle position, Eddy Sabat raised to 2,500. John D'Agostino called from the next seat and then action moved over to the player in the cutoff. He reraised to 9,200 with 30,000 behind. Action folded around to Sabat and he released his hand. D'Agostino called.

The flop came down {Q-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Clubs} and D'Agostino checked. His opponent moved all in for 30,000 and D'Agostino quickly called.

D'Agostino: {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}
Opponent: {Q-Hearts}{10-Spades}

The turn was the {K-Hearts} and the river the {8-Spades} to eliminate the cutoff seat from the hand.

Tryba Finds a King

Chris Tryba
Chris Tryba

Chris Tryba was all in preflop with the {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} for 77,500. His opponent had him covered and held the {A-Diamonds}{A-Spades}. The board ran out {K-Spades}{9-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{J-Spades} and Tryba was able to spike a king before going on to make a full house and move to about 160,000 in chips.
