Updated Counts for Level 10

Level 10 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Jan Mach check-raised the river of a board {10-Spades}{9-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{7-Spades} from 20,000 to 80,000 and that had sole opponent Matthias de Meulder well covered. The Belgian had less than 50,000 behind and eventually folded.

Yair Bitoun re-entered and lost a few chips at the start before successfully three-betting, as did Kristen Bicknell - without the re-entry part - as the Canadian is slightly down for the day thus far.

Michael Brandau doubled his short stack for 11,700 with {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs} against the {A-}{4-} of Pierre Neuville on a board of {8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs} before Neuville doubled for 18,000 against Robin Hegele to leave the German short in chips.

Ensan Busts to Sinclair

Level 9 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Hossein Ensan
Hossein Ensan

Wim Neys raised from early position and Moritz Dietrich three-bet to 9,500 from one seat over. "Here we go again, the chip leader bullies," Jan-Peter Jachtmann said and let go out of the blinds. Neys eventually moved all in and Dietrich quickly folded.

One table over, Hossein Ensan raised to 4,000 from the small blind and Jack Sinclair called from the big blind. Ensan instantly shoved the {10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flop for his last 29,300 and Sinclair gave it some thought before calling.

Hossein Ensan: {6-Hearts}{4-Hearts}
Jack Sinclair: {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}

Neither the {Q-Spades} turn nor the {8-Diamonds} river improved Ensan and he busted for the second time in this tournament.

Gruissem Doubles; Bitoun Busts

Level 9 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante
Petr Liesner
Petr Liesner

On the three-way flop of {K-Spades}{9-Hearts}{7-Clubs}, the initial bet was already pulled in while Petr Liesner in the blinds had a raise to 26,000 in front of his cards. Philipp Gruissem then moved all in and Yair Bitoun reshoved. Liesner asked for a count and folded to the shove of Bitoun for 127,000, while Gruissem was the player at risk for 71,700.

Philipp Gruissem: {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}
Yair Bitoun: {K-Hearts}{5-Hearts}

The {Q-Spades} turn and {7-Diamonds} river failed to improve Bitoun and Gruissem took more than half of his stack to double. Soon after, Bitoun was all in himself for around 55,000 with the {A-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and Liesner looked him up with {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}. After a board of {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{10-Spades}, Bitoun became the second casualty of the day, but promised to re-enter shortly via table chat.

Jachtmann Bluffs Karlic; Wong Doubles Through Sinclair

Level 9 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

On the tail end of a board {K-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}, Jan-Peter Jachtmann bet 35,000 against Gerald Karlic and the latter reluctantly folded to be shown {J-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for a pair of fives only.

One table over, Jonathan Wong faced a three-bet to 12,000 by Jack Sinclair and four-bet all in for 93,800, which Sinclair called.

Jonathan Wong: {A-Spades}{K-Spades}
Jack Sinclair: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}

A roller coaster board of {K-Clubs}{2-Spades}{2-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} awarded the double to Wong and Sinclair dropped to around the starting stack.

Gruissem Takes Another Hit

Level 9 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

The start of Day 2 has been disastrous so far for Philipp Gruissem, as he just took another hit to fall below the starting stack. It was Vojtecj Ruzicka that ended up all in and at risk for his last 31,200 with {4-Hearts}{4-Spades} against the {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds} of Gruissem. The board came {Q-Clubs}{9-Spades}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and Ruzicka spiked a set on the turn to avoid a re-entry for now.

Rudziankov Eliminated; Hallaert In

Level 9 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Maxi Lehmanski won a small pot against table neighbor Sander van Wesemael when his {A-Spades}{4-Spades} found top pair on a board of {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{3-Spades}{Q-Hearts}.

Artur Rudziankov lost the remainder of his short stack early on while Kenny Hallaert is the next player to fire a second bullet after busting on Day 1.

Two Further Entries

Level 9 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Gerald Karlic entered with a fresh stack of 100,000 on his first bullet while Andreas Eiler played on Day 1 and busted, then opted to re-enter again today. This brings the total field up to 45 entries and just five further are needed to cover the guarantee of €250,000.

Passet Doubles Through Gruissem

Level 9 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

In the first hand of the day, Philipp Gruissem raised to 3,600 from the small blind and Yair Bitoun three-bet the big blind to 7,100, which Gruissem called. The flop came {10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{7-Spades} and Gruissem check-folded to a bet of 15,000.

The next hand, Gruissem raised the button to 3,600 again and Bitoun called in the small blind. Abraham Passet three-bet to 14,000 in the big blind and Gruissem took his time before announcing all in. Bitoun quickly folded, but Passet snap-called all in for 94,800.

Abraham Passet: {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}
Philipp Gruissem: {2-Spades}{2-Clubs}

There was no upset on the board {J-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and Passet doubled right away in Day 2.
