Botond Doubles Through Grafton

Level 23 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Balazs Botond was all in for 635,000 and was getting his stack counted out after his {10-Hearts}{j-Clubs} had cracked the {a-Spades}{j-Spades} of Sam Grafton.

The board read {4-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and the Hungarian had spiked a ten to double through the chip leader.

Here are the counts from the other players at his table.

Blieden Ends Rezaei's Run

Level 23 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

Still running a hand from the previous level, Thomas Boivin opened to 40,000 from under the gun. Dennis Blieden was next to act and just called. Daniel Rezaei stuck in a three-bet to 225,000 from the big blind which got Boivin to fold. Blieden snap-shoved all in and Rezaei had a decision for the rest of his chips.

Rezaei asked for a count but Bleiden wasn't happy about it when Rezaei clearly had the shorter of the two stacks, sitting on about 1,200,000. The clock was paused anyway and a full count was given before Rezaei flicked in a call.

Dennis Bleiden: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Daniel Rezaei: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

The flop came {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and Bleiden was still in a dominating position with the better kicker. The {6-Diamonds} on the turn paired the board and the {4-Clubs} on the river ensured Bleiden of the best hand. Rezaei sent over the rest of his chips before heading to the payout desk.

partypoker Team Online's Hristivoje Eliminated; Grafton Peaking

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Sam Grafton
Sam Grafton

According to Sam Grafton, Jeremy Ausmus opened and Grafton flat-called on the button. partypoker Team Online's Pavlovic Hristivoje then three-bet all in for 500,000. Ausmus folded and Grafton called.

"I sprung the trap!" said Grafton who held {k-}{q-}. "Unbelievably he had {a-}{k-}."

The flop came {q-}{3-}{3-} giving Grafton a pair of queens. The board bricked and Hristivoje was eliminated. Grafton now appears to be the new chip leader with well over three million in chips.

Kanit Celebrates in Schillhabel's Demise

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

It is unsure as to when all of the chips got in the middle, but the hand started off in a four-way limped pot. The dealer fanned the flop of {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and the blinds checked to Stefan Schillhabel who bet 25,000 in the cutoff. Mustapha Kanit came along from the big blind and the {7-Diamonds} landed on the turn.

That was all Kanit needed as when it was time for showdown with Schillhabel all in, Kanit turned over {j-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for a full house. Schillhabel got up from his seat and Kanit rejoiced in a celebration.

"Yeahhhh!! Italy! For Morocco!" Kanit went on with his fists in the air.

Miles Doubles Through Alaei

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Tony Miles and Daniel Alaei already had their cards face up in front of them and Alaei was counting out chips for Miles' double up. It appeared all of the chips got in the middle preflop and Miles was at risk for 790,000.

Miles tabled {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} while Alaei held {a-Spades}{q-Spades}. The flop came {q-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} to give Alaei a pair of queens but it was Miles that was still out front. The turn was the {5-Clubs} and the river was the {4-Clubs} to secure a double up for Miles.

Yifrach Sees the Dreaded Ace on the Turn

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Gal Yifrach was standing at the payout desk after just being eliminated and he broke down what just happened. Thomas Boivin opened with ace-jack and Yifrach three-bet with pocket kings. Boivin called and the flop came {j-}{9-}{5-}.

It took very little time for the two players to get it all in on the flop and Yifrach was in a great position to double up. However, the dealer burned and turned an ace on the turn and Boivin made two pair to take the lead. Yifrach couldn't find any help on the river and was eliminated.

Vousden Out-kicked by Marquez

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Ana Marquez opened to 45,000 and called a shove from Samuel Vousden for his last 330,000.

Ana Marquez: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}
Samuel Vousden: {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

Both played a pair of fours on the {4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} run out but Marquez's ace-high had a better kicker and she sent Vousden to the rail.
