Zoe Chua Continues to Dominate

Level 13 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Zoe Chua opened to 6,500 from early position and got called by both of the blinds. The flop came {7-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{j-Hearts} and Chua bet 9,500 when the action was checked to him. Both players called.

The player in the small blind led out on the {7-Hearts} turn card for his whole stack of 40,500. The player in the big blind folded and Chua made the call.

Chua: {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Opponent: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}

Chua had to dodge a nine or seven on the river to secure the knockout, and he did just that when the {k-Clubs} completed the board.

Comber Busts One

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

The player under the gun elected to shove a small stack, and it folded around to Howard Comber in the cutoff. He decided to reshove with a larger stack, and the rest of the table got out of the way.

Comber held {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts} against the {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts} of his opponent, and would have to hit to win. His hit came on the turn of the {9-Spades}{4-Clubs}{10-Spades}{q-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} board, and he sent his opponent to the rail.

Podaima Eliminates One

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Mel Podaima opened to 5,500 preflop from the hijack, and then called an all in bet from the big blind when he jammed for 25,000.

Podaima: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Opponent: {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}

The flop was kind to Podaima as it gave him top two pair {a-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{j-Spades}. He was able to fade the remaining nines in the deck as the board ran out {6-Hearts}{2-Spades} and he sent his opponent to the rail.

Knifpel Gets the Double

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

After a limp from early position, Calvin Knifpel went all in for his remaining 13,500 from the middle. Everyone else got out of the way, but the initial limper called to put Knifpel at risk.

It was a "fair fight" with the {a-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} of Knifpel a slight favorite to the {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts} of his opponent. The flop of {4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} was very favourable to Knifpel's hand, and the {a-Spades} on the turn locked it up before the meaningless {6-Clubs} river.

Esposti Gets a Gift

Level 11 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Paul Esposti opened the action with a raise to 4,000. The player in the small blind three bet to 11,000 and Esposti made the call. The flop came {7-Hearts}{8-Spades}{2-Clubs} and the pre flop three bettor made a continuation bet of 16,000 which was called by Esposti.

The player in the small blind moved all in for 42,000 on the {9-Hearts} turn card and Esposti quickly made the call.

Esposti: {8-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Opponent: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

Esposti had his opponent drawing dead and scooped the pot after the meaningless {q-Hearts} came on the river.

Guinto Turns a Straight

Level 11 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

Zoe Chua opened the action with a raise to 3,500 from under the gun, Adrian Guinto called from the hijack and they went heads up to a flop of {j-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{3-Clubs}. When action checked around on the flop, Chua fired 4,000 on the {10-Clubs} turn card and Guinto called.

The {7-Clubs} river saw Chua bet 8,000 which got snap called by Guinto.

Chua: {4-Diamonds}{4-Spades}
Guinto: {8-Spades}{9-Spades}

Guinto had turned a straight which was good enough for him to take down the pot.
