Level 6 : 250/500, 75 ante
Holger Bansner
Holger Bansner

Holger Bansner bet the heads-up turn of {9-Spades}{8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{5-Spades} for 11,000 and Matous Skorepa called. The {2-Diamonds} river was checked by both players and Bansner showed {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} to claim the pot. Skorepa mucked and dropped below the starting stack while Dmytro Nesin at the same table has almost four times the starting stack.

Mr Scorpio Takes it Down Preflop

Level 6 : 250/500, 75 ante
Mr Scorpio
Mr Scorpio

Mr Scorpio raised to 1,300 from under the gun and picked up three callers. Ilias was in the cutoff and three-bet to 9,500. With the action back on Mr Scorpio he four-bet to 26,300.

The three callers all folded, as did Ilias, although he made it clear how unhappy he was.

Mr Scorpio sensed this, and showed him {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}.

"How sick is this?" remarked Ilias, saying that he had folded Queens.

Heissmann Runs Hot

Level 6 : 250/500, 75 ante

"You can stop with the comeback stuff now, Sebastian Heuss joked while Mario Heissmann had scored yet another double. Apparently, Heissmann was down to just 5,000 early on and just now shoved a flop of {K-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for 15,500. His sole opponent tanked and called after the clock was called on him.

Heissmann showed {Q-Hearts}{10-Clubs} for the nut straight and had to fear diamonds only, facing {A-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}. Both the {2-Spades} turn and {5-Spades} river blanked.

The comeback of Steffen Schmid will have to be on the second entry, as he just bowed out.

Bock Bests Lui

Level 6 : 250/500, 75 ante
Christopher Bock
Christopher Bock

Christopher Bock raised to 1,600 from early position and Tobias Lui defended his big blind.

The flop came {9-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and both players checked. Lui check-called a bet of 2,000 on the turn {9-Clubs} and both players then checked the {7-Hearts} river.

The dealer pointed at Lui who was first to show. "Three," announced Lui.

The dealer then turned and pointed at Bock. "Jacks?" predicted the dealer.

Bock didn't have jacks, but he did have {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} which was enough to take down the pot.

The Chips are Flying Again

Level 6 : 250/500, 75 ante

Trong Hieu Nguyen was all in for 9,300 with {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} against {7-Spades}{6-Spades} on a flop of {8-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Spades} and held up thanks to the {8-Diamonds} turn and another blank on the river.

Pieter De Kort was eliminated while Jaroslav Mandik was about to bust and take the re-entry before doubling through Edgaras Rajauskas. Mandik was all in for 15,500 with {K-Spades}{K-Clubs} on a nine-high flop and Rajauskas had flopped two pair with {9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}. However, running queens on turn and river let the Czech double.

Nesin Takes Some More; Olaf Doubles

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

Dmytro Nesin was moved over to table 81 and raised to 1,000 on the button. Both the small blind and Steffen Schmid in the big blind called. The flop of {A-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts} was checked to Nesin and his bet of 3,100 won the pot. The other big stack at the table is Matous Skorepa while fellow Czech player Olaf just doubled.

Down to 13,050, he got it in with {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts} against the {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs} of Schmid and the board came {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{4-Spades}{6-Hearts}.

A Good Start for Alain Bauer

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

A player in early position raised to 1,100 with the blinds at 200/400 and Daniel Novak called in middle position. Alain Bauer was still in the process of getting settled in his seat, but had been dealt into this hand and he looked down at his cards.

He raised to 3,600 and continued to arrange his chips as he wanted, as well as separating his receipts and seating card. The initial raiser folded and Novak called.

The flop came {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}. Novak checked and Bauer continued for 4,200. Novak folded.

"Good timing!" said Bauer, as he finished installing himself in his seat and got ready for the next hand.

De Jong Starts Well

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

Willem de Jong had a big stack early on Day 1b before running out of ammunition. The Dutchman is back on the same track after more than doubling his stack early on and was just spotted defending his big blind against the under the gun raise of GrauberMatschek. Both players checked the {K-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop and the {3-Diamonds} turn.

De Jong then bet the {5-Hearts} river for 1,800 and GrauberMatschek sighed, but eventually called. He was shown {A-Spades}{8-Clubs} for ace-high and the German won the pot with {J-Clubs}{J-Spades}.
