Kenneth Smaron Makes the Right Call

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Action folded around to Sergio Aido in the small blind who decided to limp in. Kenneth Smaron was in the big bind and checked his option.

The flop came {k-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}. Aido led out for 9,000 and Smaron called.

The turn was the {5-Clubs}. Aido led out again, this time for 20,000. Smaron thought for a moment and called for a second time.

The river was the {3-Spades}. Aido fired out a bet of 40,000. Smaron went deep into the tank, thinking about his decision with only about 80,000 behind. Eventually, he called and immediately tabled {k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} for two pair, kings and eights. Aido mucked his cards, sending the pot Smaron's way.

Kaverman Busts Serda

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Patrick Serda, who w̶o̶n̶ finished runner-up in the €10,000 High Roller at EPT Prague for €719,000 four weeks ago, opened to 12,000 from middle position. Byron Kaverman three-bet to 34,000 from the button and both blinds folded to get the action back on Serda. Serda shoved for about 110,000 and Kaverman called.

Patrick Serda: {A-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Byron Kaverman: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

Dodging the ace was like a walk in the park for Kaverman: {K-Spades}{9-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}. Just like that, Serda was out and Kaverman could start stacking.

Amirov Eliminated During Break

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

In a hand that stretched into the break, Ilkin Amirov moved all in from the button for 52,500. Stephen Chidwick called in the small blind, only to see Andjelko Andrejevic shove over the top for 141,000 in the big. Chidwick tanked for around four minutes before mucking.

Amirov: {a-Clubs}{3-Hearts}
Andrejevic: {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}

If Chidwick was regretting his fold after the {5-Spades}{7-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop, he certainly wasn't after {k-Spades} and {6-Spades} finished out the board to give Andrejevic a flush.

Aldemir Doubles Chidwick

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Koray Aldemir raised to 9,000 from early position and small blind Stephen Chidwick pushed for 108,500. The big blind folded, Aldemir called with {A-Spades}{K-Hearts}. Chidwick showed {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and won the showdown after {3-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{8-Clubs} rolled off.

Aldemir was down to just 15,000 after that, but tripled not much later as his pocket threes held up against Michael Rocco's jack-deuce and Andjelko Andrejevic's queen-seven.

Negreanu Doubles Through Kurganov

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu has been relatively quiet today and has gotten his remaining 47,500 chips in the middle from the small blind. Igor Kurganov called on the button and the hands were tabled.

Negreanu: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Kurganov: {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

The flop came {q-Clubs}{10-Spades}{7-Diamonds}, giving Negreanu an even bigger lead with a pair of queens. Kurganov picked up some extra outs after flopping a pair of tens.

The turn was the {6-Spades}, and Kurganov yelled "Ten!" as the {3-Clubs} hit the river, giving Negreanu the double up he was looking for.

Rocco Doubles Through Seymour

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Richard Seymour was counting out a double for Michael Rocco worth 103,000 when we got to his table. Rocco had {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts} in front of him under the gun and the board read {8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{3-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}. It wasn't clear when the money went in, and Seymour's cards were already in the muck, but Rocco collected a good-sized double.

Adams Doubles Through Jaffe

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Timothy Adams had a bet of 38,000 in front of him on a {q-Clubs}{2-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} board and was facing a raise to 80,000 from Jonathan Jaffe on his left. Adams thought about a minute and jammed for 149,500 and Jaffe called right away. Unfortunately for him, he was drawing dead with {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} as Adams had turned a set with {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}.
