Lau Doubles Through Greenwood

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

On a flop of {Q-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}, Ka Kwan Lau got his remaining 78,000 in with the {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{6-Spades} and Sam Greenwood looked him up with the {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{7-Spades}{6-Hearts}. The {K-Diamonds} on the turn was a blank, but the {9-Hearts} river gave Lau a straight to double.

A big Double and More for Shuts

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Hand 1

Felipe Ramos raised to 20,000 and Maksim Shuts three-bet the pot from two seats over. Ramos gave it some thought and moved all in, Shuts snap-called all in and tabled aces while Ramos had kings and tens.

Maksim Shuts: {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}
Felipe Ramos: {K-Hearts}{K-Spades}{10-Spades}{10-Clubs}

The board came {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{8-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and Shuts doubled for 147,000.

Hand 2

Right the next hand, Shuts raised to 25,000 and the table laughed. Fabian Geisel called in the big blind and the {K-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{8-Spades} flop checked through. On the {6-Spades} turn, Geisel bet 40,000 and Shuts called before the German checked the {A-Clubs} river. Shuts made it 60,000 to go and was paid off by Geisel to reveal {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}{Q-Spades}{3-Hearts} for top two as winning hand.

More for Greenwood and Shuts; Less for Geeng and Lau

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Ka Kwan Lau won a small pot against Sam Greenwood and then lost some, while Maksim Shuts was able to build his stack.

Then, Daniel Geeng from under the gun, Lau in the small blind and Greenwood in the big blind saw a turn of {J-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades}{5-Spades}. Lau checked, Greenwood bet 12,000 and Geeng called. Lau check-raised to 35,000 and just Greenwood called. Both remaining players checked the {8-Diamonds} river and Lau announced a jack, tabled {J-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{7-Hearts}. Greenwood had that beat with {A-Spades}{9-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} for trips fives and claimed the pot.

The Tension Rises

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Greenwood Forces Out Shuts

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 0 ante

Then, Sam Greenwood raised to 20,000 from early position and Shuts just called in the big blind. Shuts Doubles Through Lau

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

Maksim Shuts raised to 21,000 with little behind and Ka Kwan Lau three-bet the pot from one seat over. The rest of the table folded and Shuts called all in for 31,000 total.

"Ace on the flop," Lau demanded, while Shuts was hoping for a jack when both tabled their cards.

Maksim Shuts: {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{J-Spades}{7-Spades}
Ka Kwan Lau: {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Diamonds}

The board came {J-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and Shuts indeed flopped a set to double.

Lau then got into a battle of the blinds with Sam Greenwood and bet the {J-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} turn for 19,000. Greenwood called and the Spaniard checked the {K-Clubs} river. Greenwood bet 50,000 into a pot of 62,000 and Lau folded.

Shuts and Kushner get Short

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 0 ante

Maksim Shuts raised and then eventually folded to the aggression of Daniel Geeng out of the blinds, claiming he had missed the board with an ace-queen double suit combo.

Soon after, Joseph Kushner raised to 18,000 and Sam Greenwood three-bet the pot to 63,000 on the button. Kushner eventually called with around as much behind and checked the {J-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{6-Spades} flop. Greenwood bet the pot and Kushner folded.
