Sergey Lebedev Doubles

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Action folded to Chris Hunichen in the small blind and he simply moved all in to put the pressure on the short-stacked Sergey Lebedev, who called off for 93,000 from the big.

Hunichen: {8-Clubs}{7-Hearts}
Lebedev: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}

The board ran out {10-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{7-Clubs} and Lebedev shipped the double.

Francois Eliminates Fellow Francois on Bubble

Level 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Francois Evard is eliminated
Francois Evard is eliminated

Francois Evard opened to 20,000 first to act, and Francois Billard three-bet to 56,000. Evard called. The flop came {5-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} and Evard checked. Billard bet 40,000, and Evard instantly shoved all in for 226,000. Billard sighed and got a count but ended up calling.

Billard: {k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}
Evard: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

Evard needed only to dodge the remaining kings, but one arrived immediately: {k-Hearts}. The {6-Hearts} hit the river, and Evard took his leave as the bubble boy.

Pedro Idrovo Falls in 17th Place

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Pedro Idrovo
Pedro Idrovo

With 47,000 in the pot and a flop of {2-Spades}{4-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, Pedro Idrovo checked from the small blind and Francois Billard bet 26,000 from the cutoff. Idrovo wok up with an all-in check-raise to 253,000 and Billard asked for an exact count before making the call.

Idrovo: {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}
Billard: {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

Idrovo had the worse pair, but he did have a gutshot as a backup. Unfortunately for him, neither the {2-Diamonds} turn nor {6-Diamonds} river helped and he was sent to the rail two spots shy of the money.

The elimination of Idrovo will see the final 16 players redraw down to the final two tables. It also places the tournament on the money bubble, which means players will play hand-for-hand until it bursts. That'll likely only be one more hand as just 56 seconds remain on the clock before the 80-minute dinner break.

Hunichen Picks Off O'Dwyer's Triple Barrel

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Chris Hunichen called a raise from Steve O'Dwyer, who was on the button, with Hunichen occupying the small blind. He check-called 16,000 on the {j-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} and another 42,000 on the {k-Diamonds}. On the {5-Clubs} river, Hunichen checked a final time. O'Dwyer bet 90,000 fairly quickly, and Hunichen didn't think long before calling.

"You win," O'Dwyer assured him, mucking his hand.

Hunichen mucked as well, taking the pot without a showdown.

Battles of the Sams

Level 16 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Sam Greenwood raised to 15,000 from the button and then called when Sam Chartier shoved for 100,000 even from the small blind.

Chartier: {a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}
Greenwood: {q-Spades}{j-Spades}

Chartier got it in good and he was rewarded with a double after the board ran out {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds}.
