Amitai and Sideris Survive All-Ins

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

Both Or Amitai and Konstantinos Sideris were all in for their tournament lives, but both players managed to find a double-up. Amitai was all in with {J-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} against {A-Spades}{J-Spades} on a {J-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop and held up after the {7-Clubs} turn and {3-Hearts} river.

Sideris had the nut flush with {A-Spades}{J-Spades} on a {J-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{2-Spades}{7-Spades}{K-Diamonds} board and moved all in for 17,500. His opponent Rahamim Hazanov called it off after a minute of thought, allowing Sideris to stack up some chips.

Givony Doubles With A Flush

Level 4 : 150/300, 50 ante

On an {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{5-Spades} board, Ioan Taizs checked and Tom Givony bet 3,000. Taizs check-raised all in for 25,800, which gave Givony some pause. The Israeli took around fifteen seconds before putting his stack in with a loud thump.

Ioan Taisz: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}
Tom Givony: {J-Clubs}{8-Clubs}

The river was the {6-Diamonds} and Givony clasped his hands in excitement.

"Yes!" he yelled at the top of his lungs, which turned some heads in the room. Givony quickly contained his excitement and sat down to collect the chips.

Why Not Zilberg?

Level 4 : 150/300, 50 ante

We stumbled across an entertaining pot between Amit Zilberg and Ersoy Cagdas. On a {8-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flop Zilberg had bet 2,000 and Cagdas raised to 4,300. There was a bit of back and forth before Zilberg threw in a chip to call.

As he did so he turned 90 degrees to his left and held his hand up to his face. "I check dark," he said, not looking at the turn which was the {k-Spades}. Cagdas checked behind.

"What was it?" he said, "I need to know!" The dealer and Cagdas told him that it was a king.

"Oh I don't like that," he said and he watched as the river was the {a-Hearts}. Zilberg checked.

"Set of kings is good?" he said with a smile and Cagdas checked behind.

"Queen," announced Cagdas showing {q-Spades}{7-Spades}.

"Queen also," said Zilberg, "But mine is better." He tabled {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} and took down the pot.

Farcasannu Gets There on the River

Level 4 : 150/300, 50 ante

The board read {5-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and it was all in between Alexandru Farcasanu and Shay Rozenbaum. Farcasanu held {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} for a flopped a set, and he was the all-in player for his last 16,275. His opponent held {6-Clubs}{8-Hearts} for a flopped straight.

The dealer burned and dealt the {9-Spades} on the river giving Farcasanu a full house.

"I was ahead pre-flop," he said in English to the table whilst gathering in his chips.

Straight Flush for Grafton

Level 4 : 150/300, 50 ante
Sam Grafton
Sam Grafton

Sam Grafton was involved in a hand against Lebanon's Georges Yazbeck, who has already amassed over $1 million dollars in lifetime winnings. The board read {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and Yazbeck bet 1,700 from the small blind. Grafton, seated under the gun, made it 4,100, and Yazbeck folded.

Grafton showed {Q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for a straight flush and received cheers and whistles from his fellow tablemates.
