Cheung Finds a Double Thanks to a Reraise

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

After an early open to 14,000, Robert Cheung shoved on the button for 46,000. Chris Dombrowski reraised in the small blind to chase away the opener.

Dombrowski: {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}
Cheung: {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs}

The flop came {10-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{2-Spades} and Cheung grabbed the lead. The opener said he mucked ace-queen, which would have been good to bust Cheung, after the {4-Diamonds} and {5-Hearts} runout.

David Vamplew

Matt Affleck opened early and David Vamplew made it a three-bet to about 35,000 on his immediate left. Action folded back to Affleck, who opted to see the {9-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} flop. Affleck came out betting after a long pause, sliding in 40,000. Vamplew called. On the {7-Spades} turn, Affleck announced he was all in. Vamplew shrugged and looked ready to snap but then thought for about 30 seconds. Eventually, he did decide to call.

Vamplew: {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}
Affleck: {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

Affleck just needed to dodge an eight, and he was successful when the {3-Hearts} fell.
