Russo Binks Flush in Enormous Pot

Level 25 : Blinds 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Salvatore Russo raised to 40,000 from early position before Muhamet Perati three-bet to 140,000 in the small blind. Yossi Maymon cold-called in the big blind and Russo matched the raise as well, going to a flop of 1035.

It was checked to Russo, who bet 205,000. Perati then jammed all in for 905,000, and Maymon made a quick fold. Russo called with the covering stack, however, and the cards went face-up.

Muhamet Perati: A5 All in
Salvatore Russo: A8

Cheers erupted from the rail as the K hit the turn, making Russo his flush and securing him the pot. The J river brought him a useless bonus heart as Perati awaited his payout.

Russo was shipped the pot and ended up with a stack of nearly 150 big blinds.

Sterba sized up to 450,000 on the 10 river. Castellani mulled it over a bit but eventually tossed in a call. Sterba tabled Q10 for deuces full of tens and was awarded the pot when Castellani mucked his cards.
