Lew Calls Raise and Folds

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Randy Lew
Randy Lew

Randy Lew opened under the gun to 2,600 only to have a player in the middle position three-bet to 5,200.

Lew called and then checked the {A-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} flop before folding to his opponent's 4,500-chip continuation-bet.

Magnus Doubles Up

Level 11 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Nadya Magnus
Nadya Magnus

Nadya Magnus got her last 12,600 in on a {6-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop with {10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}, and she was fading a lot of cards since her opponent had {9-}{8-}. The {7-Clubs} changed that in a big way since she would now only lose on a river five, and the {a-Hearts} kept her ticking.

Zhang Flops the Joint

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 200 ante

We found Zhihao Zhang all in for 43,200 on a flop of {10-Clubs}{k-Spades}{j-Hearts} with about 45,000 in the pot already. He was on the button, and his opponent in the small blind was thinking things over.

"I think you have queen-king, queen-ten, or queen-jack," the player finally said, pushing his stack in.

It was {q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} for a straight though, and the small blind was in awful shape with {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}. He asked for a queen but got none on the {7-Hearts} turn and {8-Diamonds} river.

Top Two for Dill

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 200 ante

On a flop of {3-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{A-Spades} with roughly 9,600 in the middle, Nathan Dill bet out 4,000 from middle position and Rob Cesternino called next to act in the hijack as the big blind folded.

The turn fell the {10-Hearts} and Dill bet out 7,500 with Cesternino calling again as the {2-Hearts} completed the board on the river.

Dill bet 11,500 and Cesternino called and then folded his {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs} at the sight of Dill's {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades} for top two pair.

Minteer Tank-Calls, Busts Gorenc

Level 10 : 500/1,000, 200 ante

William Minteer bet 4,000 on a {k-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{7-Hearts} flop, and Marty Gorenc moved all in from the cutoff for 36,000 effective, nearly all of his stack. Minteer tanked a few minutes and opted to call it off.

Minteer: {k-Spades}{10-Spades}
Gorenc: {a-}{10-}

Gorenc was in bad shape and needed an ace but was left wanting as the last two streets missed him.
