The very first open event saw a total of 41 entrants come out to play for a ring. This created a prizepool of $8,200 divided between the top 6 players. After a swingy heads up battle, it was Sidney Johnson who made a splash with his first RGPS cash and ring. He defeated RGPS legend Daniel “Donk” Hughes heads up who was looking for his second ring in just a couple of weeks.
The Las Vegas native took home a career best score and became the second player this stop to earn a seat to The Dream Seat Invitational at Thunder Valley in November.
