Some New Big Stacks

Level 2 : Blinds 600/1,200, 150 ante

Sam "SamSquid" Grafton has dropped just out of the top five now, though he's chipped up since the last look. There are five other players bigger than him at the moment.

Grafton to Top Five

Level 2 : Blinds 600/1,200, 150 ante

While Sam "SamSquid" Grafton gave some dead money to fellow PokerStars Team Pro member Lex "L.Veldhuis" Veldhuis in the following hand, Grafton jumped into the top five in counts the hand previous when he rivered a flush with A8 leaving "NY17PATS14" with barely 100k. Liviu "0Human0" Ignat was also involved in the hand but got out before the big rover action when Grafton raised a river bet and got paid.

Veldhuis Powers the Pot

There weren't any cards to be seen on the hand, but Lex "L.Veldhuis" Veldhuis just took a nice pot. Fellow PokerStars Team Pro member Sam "SamSquid" Grafton opened early to 3k before Veldhuis repopped it to 13.8k from the small blind.

Big blind "LuckPROF" was having none of that, however, reraising it to 29.4k. That pushed Grafton out, but sent Veldhuis into the tank for a bit before he five-bet shoved for 179k and change. The big blind got out of the way, and Veldhuis picked up a nice pot of dead money with no cards on the board.

Nearing Half the Guarantee as Level 2 Begins

Level 2 : Blinds 600/1,200, 150 ante

There is still plenty of time remaining to get into this Main Event High with Level 2 just now beginning. The entries now are up to 223 entries with 220 remaining in the game. That puts $2.23 million into the prize pool right now, so it seems almost certain that the $5 million guarantee will be crushed with entries open until the start of Monday's Dasy 2.

Chip Updates at Break

Level 1 : Blinds 500/1,000, 125 ante

Here is a look at some chip updates from the break. Level 1 has about 5 minutes remaining when they return to the felt in about 2 minutes.

"Qee... :)AA" Gets Big One

"Qee... :)AA" Gets Big One
"Qee... :)AA" Gets Big One

"Qee... :)AA" is nearing 300k in the first level of play after a big hand against Talal "raidalot" Shakerchi. "Qee... :)AA" raised under the gun to 2,000 and Shakerchi called from the button. Shakerchi raised a bet of 1,820 on the 543 flop and got the call.

The turn 4 went check-call for 15,898 and the river J saw another check-call from "Qee... :)AA" for 37,201. It was a gross cooler when the hands were revealed with a flopped nut straight falling to the turned boat:

Shakerchi: 76
