Walker Joins Leaders With Huge Pot

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante
Nick Walker
Nick Walker

Jimmy Thomson opened to 7,500, a player shoved for 40,600 from directly behind, and Nick Walker cold-called from the small blind. Thomson called behind, and the three players saw a flop with more than 120,000 already in the middle. Walker shoved for around 70,000, and Thomson tank-folded before opening {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} for top pair top kicker. Walker showed {A-Clubs}{K-Spades} for the same hand with a flush draw, and the player in Seat 10 needed help with his {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}. The {9-Hearts} turn and {8-Spades} board completed the flush for both players, but Walker's king-high took the massive pot to push him over 200,000 in chips.

Knight Loses Armor

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante
Josh Knight
Josh Knight

We saw Josh Knight walking away from his table and discovered that he had been eliminated by Alex Rivera. Knight was all in with {K-}{J-} against Rivera's pocket aces, and Rivera turned a straight to send Knight to the rail.

30 Players Remaining

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

We're down to the final three players in Event #2. Andy Spears has been moved to Table 5 with Jason Nablo, Rick Block, Randy Pfeifer and Art Demmerley. We'll call that the feature table for now.

Spears Running Like Spears

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante
Andy Spears
Andy Spears

Andy Spears rarely gets his chips in behind, and even when he does he finds a way to win. A player raised to 6,000 from under the gun and Spears defended his big blind to see a {K-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop. Spears bet 8,600 and his opponent called. On the {8-} turn, Spears put the other player all in and received a quick call.

Spears: {J-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
UTG Player: {K-Clubs}{K-Spades}

Spears was pleased to see he still had four outs, and sure enough the {10-Diamonds} spiked on the river to complete his straight. He's up to 130,000 in chips and eyeing another title here at Seneca.
