Napierala Up a Stack

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

We didn't catch the betting action but Blake Napierala had a player all in and at risk on the flop with the {7-Spades}{6-Spades} against his opponent's {9-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. The flop had two spades and Napierala caught a six on the river to send his opponent to the rail.

Derbyshire Given Early Gift

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

After three players limped in, Marty Derbyshire shoved from the big blind getting snap-called by the first player to limp. Derbyshire was miles ahead with the {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} but his opponent did have two live cards holding the {8-Hearts}{10-Clubs}. The board ran out {4-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{k-Spades} and Derbyshire collected the pot.

Last Night's Champ Scores Early Double

Level 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

With about 8,000 in the pot and a flop reading {2-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{a-Spades}, last night's Event #4 champion, John Griswold, moved all in for 3,500 and was put at risk by Jim Goertz.

John Griswold: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}
Jim Goertz: {a-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}

Griswold had Goertz dominated and raked in the pot after a {7-Hearts}{2-Clubs} run out.

Goertz Takes Out Two More

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante

Jim Goertz is off to a great start. We didn't catch the action but saw the dealer pushing a pile of chips towards Goertz. Goertz filled us in on the action. Three of them paid 1,200 preflop and one of them shoved with a gutshot straight draw. Goertz called a nut flush draw and another called with pocket queens.

Goertz made his flush on the river and scooped the pot.
