Stephen Courtney raised to 45,000 in the cutoff. Alvin Pillay then jammed for 365,000 on the button and Jody Van Wyk four-bet jammed out of the big blind for Courtney to fold.

The K♦5♣5♠ flop propelled Pillay into the lead but that all chan ged again with the A♥ turn. No further roller coaster came with the 10♠ river and Pillay had to settle for 22nd place.
Gavin Sardini pounced up his stack over on table 11 while SM lost a big chunk and the only other notable hand saw a four-bet shove by MAJ for 420,000. Jarred Solomon asked for a count but ended up folding.
Gareth Kalil clicked back to 130,000 after Darryl Shaff had raised to 60,000 with the latter then moving all-in for 480,000 in the hijack. Kalil snap-called in the cutoff and had the best of it.

Kalil stayed in the mix despite the setback and then had Ronit Chamani at risk, who was all-in from the big blind for 210,000 on the A♦5♣2♠ flop.

Over on the outer tables, Gareth Kalil peeled a three-bet by Samuel Tebege and check-called a bet on the Q♠8♠2♠ flop. Kalil check-raise the J♣ turn. Tebege bet 60,000 with 265,000 behind and Kalil check-raised to 500,000.
Tebege even tually called and the cards were flipped over.

Norman Cherry raised for Graham Savings to call in the next seat. The Q♣10♥9♣ flop brought a bet and call before they got it in after the 8♠ turn on which Savings check-called the shove by Savings.

Savings needed a jack to stay in contention but the 3♣ river was a blank. The 295,000 of Savings were covered by Cherry and that knocked out Savings in 24th place for ZAR43,450.
David Ng four-bet jammed for 315,000 in the cutoff and Marko Nortje called on the button after he had three-bet to 110,000.

Gareth Kalil and Roy Bitton went for it on a turn of J♥9♦6♣Q♦ on which Kalil check-jammed for 400,000. Bitton asked for a count and called.
"Good luck if you call," Kalil had joked a few seconds before Bitton came along and then announced two pair.

Bitton's combo-draw with one pair had plenty of outs but none came on the 5♣ river.
Keegan Pillay raised to 50,000 and Jedd Kossew three-bet to 130,000 only for Pillay to shove for 515,000 effective, Kossew snap-called all-in.

The board ran out A♠5♥4♣J♠2♣ and Pillay paired his ace. Both stacks were counted and they had exactly the same stack to eliminate Kossew in 25th place.
On the live stream table, Djordje Stojic raised to 35,000 with the K♦J♦ and Moon Khan three-bet to 85,000 with the J♠J♥ in the hijack for Stojic to call.
Stojic hit the nuts on the A♥Q♥10♣ flop and they both checked. Stojic bet the 9♦ turn for 55,000, Khan stuck around and the 8♦ river was the worst possible card for Moon as he called Stojic's shove for 260,000 to get shown the bad news.
