Friedman, Vang Bust

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
Adam Friedman
Adam Friedman

Adam Friedman said he busted out when a player called his open with {k-}{5-} and got all in against Friedman's {q-}{7-} after a {7-}{4-}{3-} flop. Friedman turned trips that also gave him a flush draw, but his opponent binked the offsuit {6-} for the straight.

Kou Vang joined him in the payout window shortly after.

"Phwap" Takes Lead

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Kevin Boudreau
Kevin Boudreau

Jon Wurden opened for 40,000 under the gun, and Kevin Boudreau put in about 130,000 from the cutoff.

"I'm all in," Wurden said immediately with 240,000 behind. The only problem was, three players remained to act, but they all quickly folded.

Wurden should not have been so eager though, as his {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} was way behind the {k-Spades}{k-Clubs} of "Phwap."

The board ran out {k-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{9-Clubs}{5-Hearts}, leaving Wurden dead on the turn.

New Leader

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Michael Lech now has the chip lead with play still hand-for-hand.

Bohn Avoids Bubbling

Level 20 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Blake Bohn
Blake Bohn

Play is hand-for-hand now, and Blake Bohn narrowly avoided bubbling out as he jammed in from the cutoff with {5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} after a {4-Spades}{k-Hearts}{8-Hearts} flop and was called by Mike Wright, who had {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} in the blinds. The {4-Hearts} turn gave Bohn life with trips, but he still had to avoid some hearts and the remaining kings. He did so as a {q-Diamonds} fell.

Frei Doubles

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Aaron Frei just jammed over a late-position open with {7-Clubs}{7-Spades} and was snapped off by {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}. Frei binked a seven on the flop to survive and double.

Beauprez Doubles Through Luong; Bohn Coolered

Level 19 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
John Beauprez
John Beauprez

On a board of {a-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{9-Hearts}, John Beauprez got all in from the small blind against big blind Phillip Luong for about 160,000.

Luong: {9-Spades}{3-Spades}
Beauprez: {a-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

Beauprez had top two, but Luong had some outs with a flush draw and a gutter. He improved on the {3-Clubs} river, but it was only to two pair, not enough to overtake Beauprez.

A few hands later at the same table, Blake Bohn ran {k-}{k-} into {a-}{a-} and is down to about 123,000.
